I smiled, pushing the door to my study open. I chuckled at the sight before me; all of my paperwork was done and in neat stacks, Claude was dozing in the corner, probably not asleep, and (y/n) was asleep at my desk, her arms folded under her head on the desk.
How cute.
The maid smiled. "I'll leave you here with Claude. I need to help the others prepare dinner." She curtsied and left the room.
Approaching (y/n), I see she's wearing my clothes again, earning a smile on my features.
"I see you're up and about, Master. You know miss (y/n) would not like you walking around, but I will not force you back to your chambers. Shall I prepare you some tea and a snack?"
I nodded, taking a seat next to (y/n) on a stool I pulled over from the corner. She looks like I did when I was a few years younger when she wears my clothes, bringing back old memories of my parents. I smile and plant a kiss on her forehead. She's doing all of this for me when she doesn't have to and I appreciate that.

Claude soon returned with a tray that has a pitcher and cups of tea on one side, and a slice of a new kind of cake I found in the market on the other side.
"Thank you, Claude."Claude smiles, bowing halfway then returning to his upright position. "It's my pleasure, my lord."
Claude leaves us alone once again, and I start to dig into this cake.
"Claude, you have outdone yourself again." I chuckle as I take another bite.
"Mm... Dark? What are you doing out of bed?"
Damn. I didn't expect her to wake up yet.
"Um, hey (y/n)." I smile, laughing and rubbing the back of my head. "Did you sleep well?"
She sat up, stretching, and glanced over at the cake in my hands.
"It doesn't matter how good I slept. You should be resting." In one swift motion, I was cakeless and walking out the door with her pushing me up the stairs. "H-hey, that's my cake!" I tried to protest against the cake thief, but to no avail. The girl continued to usher me to my room and tuck me back into bed, eating my delicious cake in the process.
"You have to stay here for the rest of the day, or I'll eat the rest of that cake." She sets the cake down on my nightstand and skips out, probably going to the kitchen for that cake.
"As you wish, milady." I smile and dig into my cake, listening to her boots hop down the stairs.
(Y/n)'s p.o.v.
As I hop down the steps, I think back to when Dark was up and about. It wasn't obvious, since he was hiding it from himself too, but he seemed to still be in pain. It made my heart hurt when I saw him up in that condition.
To clear my thoughts, I found myself wandering to the library where the old piano resided. After locking myself in the room, I took a seat before the intricate instrument, tracing the carved in name of Dark's mother.
"If you were here, you would probably give me guidance. I wish I could've met you and told you how brilliant your son is, but I know that day will never come."
Returning my focus to the piano, I notice there's a sheet of music above the keys.
"Hm... The Song of Healing? 'Seems nice."
Reading the music, I began to play the song on the piano, my fingers gliding across the keys.
Claude's p.o.v.
As I'm cleaning up the kitchen, I begin to hear the faint sound of the piano from the ballroom; the gentle music was soothing to the soul.
"Ah, the young miss must be playing in the ball room again. It's such a sweet melody, don't you think, Claude?" One of the maids asked while she dusted off the antiques on the shelves.
"Yes, it is a beautiful melody. She must have found master Angelica's music; the melody she's playing seems familiar."
We continued our duties as normal, the melody resonating through the halls as (y/n) continued to play. After a few moments, I paid a visit to the Lady's memorial in the garden.
"You are with her now, yes? I can see you are fond of the young lady (y/n), milady. We will take good care of her and your beloved son."
Dark's pov.
Deep into the night, I could hear the faint sound of the piano in the library. The melody was beautiful and soothing to my ears to the point that I slept peacefully that night.
