Deep into the night, I could hear the faint sound of the piano in the library. The melody was beautiful and soothing to my ears to the point that I slept peacefully that night.

---------------------------------------------------------

Still in Dark's pov.

When I awoke the next morning, I was still sore, but the pain wasn't as severe as it was previously.

Looking around my room, everything looks fresh; my weapons look freshly polished and sharpened as well. The servants must have been up earlier today.

While striding to my closet, I notice new sets of clothes are hung with my tunics. Hm, I'll ask the servants about it later.
Taking one of my tunics, I dress for the day and freshen up a bit. I take extra time with my hair so I decided to brush it while I'm going downstairs.

As I open my door and step outside, I notice the halls have been freshly cleaned and decorated with some of the antiques from the library. Most of them I have no memory of.

"Must be (y/n)'s doing." I smile and begin my walk down the hallway, fighting the tangles out of my hair as I go.

The battle continued all the way to my study where (y/n) was reading one of the old books from the library.

"Good morning Dark." (Y/n) called out from her reading as she flipped one of the delicate pages. She glanced up at me and tried her hardest to suppress a laugh at the brush stuck in my hair.

"Do you want me to brush your hair? It seems that you lost the fight with the brush so maybe I can win the war." I nodded, sitting down in front of her on the floor and let her continue my battle with my hair.

As she started, I was waiting for my hair to be pulled from the numerous tangles and knots, but none of that happened. The predicted pulls were transformed into soft and gentle tugs accompanied by her fingers combing through after the brush. The feeling was heavenly, and it made me forget about everything but her at the moment.

Y/n's pov.

As I combed through Dark's hair, I notice he is more relaxed now and leaning back towards me ever so slightly. I smiled at this and continued brushing his hair, even after the tangles were gone since he appeared to enjoy me brushing his hair so much.

After a few minutes of my brushing, his head finds its way to my lap and his light snores were sounding throughout the room. I had out the brush on his desk and was now relying solely on my fingers to comb through his hair.

Dark seems to be feeling a lot better after last night. Maybe me playing piano for him did something for him. I noticed the servants were a lot peppier and happier than usual as well, so I seriously think it was from me and the piano last night.

A knock was heard on the door, Claude entering soon after. "I apologize for arriving so late, miss (y/n ). We have been decorating all morning and lost track of time." Claude bowed halfway.

"It's alright, Claude. You don't have to worry about being late. Decorating the rooms and hallways needed to be done. I think Dark likes the decor as much as I do." I smile at the sleeping form in my lap, then dismiss Claude to rest for the day.

After Claude left, I returned my attention to Dark's sleeping form. He seems content in the position he's in, and it looks like I won't be getting up any time soon.

Since I was temporarily immobile, I decided to read a random book I could easily reach, which was surprisingly (favorite book). I wonder if Dark went to my world to get that. I'll probably ask him later.

While I'm reading, Claude returns with some snacks and drinks for us before he returns to his work in the hallways. I thank him as he leaves, taking a couple bites of my snack as I continued to read. Dark would stir every once in a while, but would settle back down after a while.

"No. . . I want the black horsey with the white star. . . not the pink one." Dark mumbles in his sleep and gains a tight grip on my waist, which I had found adorable.

I finished my book and picked up the next one nearby, a book of simple spells. The front had a pair of witches patched onto it in red and blue. When I open it, some of the pages aren't readable from the wear, but there were a couple that I could read.

One of the spells I could read was a sleep spell. The words seemed easy enough but sadly, Dark was already asleep so that one will have to wait.

The next spell that was readable was a weak teleportation spell, I believe. The wording was in pig latin so it was easier to read and understand.

"Alright, lets give this a go." Picking up an empty cup, I imagine it appearing in the kitchen on top of the counter by the sink so claude can put it back when he has time, then using my willpower, I quietly murmur to the cup, "Eleportae." The cup shimmers in a white light then vanishes in a puff of smoke. A few seconds afterwards, Claude poked his head in the study, ans looked at me in surprise.

"Did you just- how did that cup get there when you're here?"

"Magic, Claude. Magic."
