Natsu Meets The Human Library

"Hey Happy! Are you going to eat that?"

Natsu, Happy, Mikoto and Lucy were cleaning up the cafe. It was around 8:00 and Fairy Tail had already closed up for the day. Now Natsu was attempting to clean out all of Mira's leftover homemade food all by himself.

"Natsu, there is such a thing as saving for the customers." scolded Mikoto.

"Mmmfff..." said Natsu snarfing down a muffin. "C'mon, if it's still here when we've closed up, that means the customers don't want it."

"But if we still have some food leftover for tommorow it'll save Mira a whole lot of baking." Said Happy as he scrubbed the underside of one of the round tables.

"Hey....." said Lucy as if suddenly realizing something. "Has anyone seen Laxus or Master at all today?"

Everyone looked at each other. Gajeel had come back at around 2 in the afternoon (just in time for some birthday cake.) But Laxus and Markorav had been gone all day. Most unusual.

"Maybe Gramps got held up doing something." said Natsu.

"But this could be bad." said Lucy worriedly. "We havn't been in Academy City that long. What if they're lost?"

"Don't worry about it." said Mikoto. "If they do get lost, all they need to do is find a Judgement officer and they'll be able to find their way back no problem. Kuroko is part of Judgement. I'll ask her to put a word in when I get back to the dorms."

"All the same." said Lucy. "I'd feel better if they came back soon. What if they run into some Level 5s or something?'

Mikoto smiled. "Lucy, that's least thing to worry about. Firstly their are only 7 level 5s in the entire city including me. Secondly, they're not the types to be looking for a fight just for the heck of it. In fact most of them are so darn arrogant, I'm sure they'll think any random person they meet is completely beneath them. You should see how much of a jerk Mental Out is."

"Still......" said Lucy looking at the dark street that lay outside the transparent doors.

"Alright then." said Natsu stretching his arms. "If it's that much of a big deal, then I'll go looking for Gramps then. Come on Happy."

"And how are you not going to get lost yourself?" asked Mikoto raising an eyebrow.

"Hah! I'll just smell my way back." said Natsu. "Nothing smells as awesome as Mira's blueberry muffins!"

Dragon Slayers like Natsu actually had a very keen sense of smell as well as some enhanced reflexes and durability. In fact, after Mikoto had unlocked her inner Dragon Slayer powers, she had started noticing that she could see and smell much better then she had previously. (Not exactly pleasant when she walked near the Academy City dump.)

"Alright then." said Mikoto. "Oh, before I forget...."

Mikoto took out a cellphone and put it in Natsu's hand. "I bought some for the others too, but I'll give them out tommorow."

Natsu looked at the cell phone curiously. "What's this? Can you eat it?"

Mikoto laughed. "No, it's a phone, you use it to talk with people far away. But I payed alot of money for minutes on these, so only use it when you need it."

Mikoto showed Natsu the basics on how to work the phone. When Natsu had pretty much got how the phone worked, he walked over to the door with Happy sitting on his head and went out.

"Alright then Happy!!" said Natsu enthusiastically. "Why don't you search from the air and I go and look around the ground?!"

"But Natsu." said Happy. "If people see a cat with wings flying around won't it freak them out?"
