What I feel for you—the way my bones ache for you, my eyes yearn for you and my legs weaken for you—I have felt the need to hide. It is because you are so different from myself. You are the darkness to contrast the day and to blend in with the night. Most would say I do not know you well enough to love you, or, frankly, to even know what love is, but I beg to differ. I have a deep affinity for your soul itself and for whatever star you originated from. You are brooding and dangerous, amiable and selfless, disconsolately sweet—and everything exciting there is in the world.
