~Chapter Thirteen~
Fated Roads of Destiny
Medlinya stared at the Gwiliweth as the red head told her story at Fangorn. A gentle smile appeared on the face of the sapphire eyed she-elf as she placed a hand of comfort on Gwiliweth's shoulder. Medlinya opened her mouth to speak of Boromir when she refrained. Gwiliweth may not show it but her emotional state was walking on a tight line. Medlinya knew her friend needed her space. The she-elf inclined her head towards the heartbroken silver eyed she-elf. The red head bowed her head in return as Medlinya twirled around and headed towards the Golden Hall.
Entering the hall, the waft of ale reached her nose causing her face to contort in disgust once again. A chuckle resounded nearby, her eyes found Legolas leaning against the pillar a few feet away, "I see ale does not agree with your nose."
Their eyes met and a instant dazzling smile manifest itself on their faces. Medlinya gracefully strode over to the blonde Elf, as she picked up the hem of her dress off the floor. It was supposed to be an easy dress to wear without lifting the hem. Yet not wearing a dress for nearly all her life ultimately made her insecure if she may trip on the cloth of the beautiful velvet pale green dress. His cerulean eyes lowered, noticing the dress. Medlinya observed the dumb-struck Elf in front of her, "You had not noticed that I was wearing a dress?" she whispered over to Legolas with a small grin.
Legolas snapped his attention to her face, "I... I guess not." the Elf truthfully answered. A dash of blush crept onto her cheeks as her Faenod brought her hand to his lips, kissing her knuckle softly. His shimmering cerulean blue eyes stared in hers, "Vanimle sila tiri." Legolas breathed adoringly. [Your beauty shines bright].
Medlinya beamed lovingly at the Elf, "Diola lle, Hallaer." [Thank you, Tall one.]
The Elf opened his mouth to speak when the Golden Hall erupted in cheers. The two glance towards the center of the hall where two hobbits climb up onto a table, holding two very large mugs of ale. Medlinya gazed back to the blonde Elf beside her, "What are they doing?" she asked with hearty laugh.
Legolas studied the two hobbits with a grin, "Let's go and see." His strong hand seized hers as the blonde Elf guided Medlinya through the crowd to the side of Aragorn and Gandalf.
The drunken hobbits began singing in full voice as they dance on the table,
"Oh, you can search - up and down
As many lands as can be found
But you'll never find a beer so brown
As the one we drink in our home town
You can keep your fancy ales
You can drink them by the flagon
But the only brew, for the brave and true,
Comes from the Green Dragon!"

A thunderous applaud echoed in harmony within the Golden Hall, the company of four clapped as they witness Merry and Pippin chug down their ale. Medlinya giggled at the sight of her dear friends, the she-elf was exhausted all wrapped with immense joy.
"No news of Frodo?" Aragorn whispered over to Gandalf. Medlinya's eyes focused on the Ranger and the wizard beside her.
Gandalf's smile faded into a grave expression, "No word... nothing."
"We have time." Aragorn responded. Gandalf whipped his head towards the Ranger continued, "Everyday Frodo moves closer to Mordor."
The old eyes of the old wizard observed his friend's face seeking for reassurance, "Do we know that?"
