Forever Lonely, Carl Grimes Fanfic

Chapter 23

   We arrive back at Alexandra and the first thing I see is an angry Carl.

     "Oh no." I whisper to myself and hide my face. I hear Rick laughing meaning he knew what was happening. When the car parked my door flies open.

     "So this is where you were! I was worried sick! Are you and the baby okay?" Carl says all at once. I push him out of the way as I get out of the car.

     "We are fine and I needed space." I breath out as I grab my bag but he takes it from me so he can carry it.

     "Carl I can do it myself." I say sternly and grab my pack roughly back.

     "What did you need space from?" He asks me as we begin walking back to his house.

     "I've been stuck inside these walls for too long. I just needed space and air." I say and sigh already sick of this conversation.

     "Why didn't you tell me?" He continues asking questions.

     "Because I knew you wouldn't let me go!" I shout and stop walking.

     "Sorry, I just needed to get out." I apologize and walk faster to the house. When we get inside I through my bag in the corner and flop on the couch. I roll my shirt up and rub my stomach.

   Carl walks over me with a bag full of small alphabetical blocks I'm guessing is for the baby. He puts four blocks on my stomach and then starts laughing. I lean as much as possible to see what he did. The blocks spell BABY. I start laughing as when I do the blocks fall from me laughing.

     "What's going on in here?" Rick says confused due to all the laughing.

    "Just messing around." Carl says as he picks the blocks up and puts them back.

     "Lunch will be ready soon." Michonne calls from the kitchen. I stand up quickly.

     "Lunch! I'm starving!" I say as I fix my shirt then walk into the kitchen. Michonne starts laughing.

     "Just so you know the cravings never go away." Michonne says to me quietly has see hands me a chocolate bar. I jump up and down in excitement. I can't remember the last time I had chocolate.

     "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I say over and over while I give her a big hug. She laughs and hugs back.

     "If you have any questions, I'm your women." She says as she points to herself. I laugh and nod.

   Lunch was great even though it was a sandwiches. I think I definitely ate the most but what do you expect? I am eating for two. I have a feeling that will be my excuse till I pop this baby out.

     "What are you thinking about?" Carl asks as he comes up behind me and hugs me.

     "Just about how much I've ate." I laugh and turn around so I'm facing him. He smiles and kisses my forehead.

     "Boy or a girl?" I ask. He looks at me then my stomach.

     "I personally want a girl but as long as he or she is healthy I don't mind. What about you?" He says then asks. I take a second to think about it.

     "Like you said, I don't mind as long as he or she is healthy." I smile and lay down on the bed on my back.

     "Any name ideas?" I ask as I grab a notebook and pen. I make two areas, one for a girl and one for a boy.

     "Um how about Thomas for a boy anddddddd Cassandra for girl?" He says as he paces the room.

     "Cute." I say as I write them down.

     "Rosemary and Dylan." I say as I write them down.

     "Cute." He repeats what I said. I laugh and continue writing things down.

   After a while of baby name writing, we hammered it down to a boy name and a girl name. (I'm gonna have it a surprise lol) I put the notebook down on the nightstand.

     "I'm so excited to see our baby." I said and rubbed my stomach.

     "Me too. Me too." Carl said. I've never seen him smile so brightly.

   We are one big happy family.
