The next morning before Jin was awake I got up and left a note for him on the counter then headed to the airport. While I was walking a police cruiser drove up next to me. "Excuse me, Miss."

"Yeah, can I help you?" I asked, moving some hair out of my face.

"Could you tell me who this is?" He asked holding out a picture of, Zane. I furrowed my eyebrows together.

"No sir, I'm sorry I can't. I just came here to visit my cousin. I was just heading home." I made up a lie. He nodded, and looked out the front of his car.

"Well, do you need a ride somewhere, Miss?"

"Actually, could you drive me to the airport?" I asked. "I'm running a little later than I'd hoped."

"Sure, hop in." He smiled. I got in the back seat, and he locked the doors.

"What are you doing?" I asked as he went off roads.

"Well, clearly you were not visiting someone here because you don't have luggage and we have evidence that you are a Detective from the US. Got a badge on you?"

"In fact I do, officer." I showed it to him. "So you better stop the car now. I'm here on official business."

"Not today." He growled. I pulled out my gun, and shot him in the head then climbed to the front and dumped him out the door. I started the car, and drive away.

I got to the airport, and boarded the plane as fast as humanly possible.

When I got back to the U.S. I made my way to the department. I stormed inside wearing pink sweatpants and a grey kangaroo shirt. Everyone stared at me as I walked by. I headed straight into captain's office, and shut the door behind me. "Captain, the job is done."

"Good job, you made it back in a week," he nodded.

"Now what?"

"Now, you wait for another case. Go home for now, go out with that Aaron guy."

"How did you-"

"We monitor your phone calls, (L/N)." He raised his eyebrows. I went to say something, but shut my mouth, and nodded.

"Okay." I walked out of his office, and walked outside to my car and got in, and drove to my house. I got inside, and picked up my phone, and called Aaron. "Hey!"

"Hey! Are you back?"

"Yep. So I was wondering about that date, casual or fancy?"

"Dress casual, I know you're not the fancy type."

"Let me guess, Fallen told you?"

"No. It was a hunch."

"Good guess."

"I'll pick you up in an hour."

"Cool see you then." I hung up and checked the time. It was seven eighteen. I haven't even realized how late it was. I shrugged, and tossed my phone on my bed. I changed into a pair of ripped jeans, so teenager, I know. A white tee shirt, and a black leather jacket that was slightly bigger than fitting perfectly. I put my hair (up/leave down) and flopped down on my bed, and picked up my book I had been reading and started to read.

After like fifteen minutes of reading I got bored so I tossed the book aside and turned on some music, and sang along with it in a super annoying voice, while playing air guitar. I turned off the music at eight ten and walked downstairs, and laced up my black leather boots and sat on the couch, and played (Game) on my phone.

I heard a knock on my door, and I sprang to my feet, feeling my heart racing I opened the door to see Aaron in his usual attire. I smiled, and he laughed awkwardly. "Hi."

"Hi... so where are we going?" I asked.

"Pizza okay?" He asked. (If you don't like pizza change it.)

"Yeah sure!" I smiled. I locked up the house behind me and we both got into his car. The ride was silent for a while.

"Do you want to listen to some music?" He asked.

"Sure." I nodded. He turned on the radio and (F/S) came on, and I started to him along with it which made Aaron laugh. "What!?" I laughed back.

"You actually like this kind of music?"

"Shut up!" I snapped, and shoved him lightly. He laughed more, and I rolled my eyes. "You are such a child."

"I'm the child?" He asked.

"Yeah!"

"Well I'm not the one singing along with... whatever this is!"

"One of two things, I was not singing, I was humming and two of two things, at least I have a steady job."

"I have a steady job!" He replied.

"Do you mind me asking what it is?" I asked, smirking.

"I am currently working at Olive Garden, remember?"

"Oh really?" I asked.

"Yup!"

"And how's the restaurant life?"

"Probably not as exciting as being a Detective," he glanced over at me.

"Well trust me, Olive Garden sucks."

"How would you know!?"

"That was my first official job," I smirked, and folded my hands behind my head.

"You're kidding."

"Not one bit." I shook my head.

"That's total bull crap!"

"Oh yeah!?"

"Yeah!"

"Fine, say what you want." I laughed. "I was a waitress though, but I got fired."

"Why?"

"I don't know, something about me talking to much or asking too many questions, something like that." I shrugged.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

"So why'd you choose to be a Detective then?"

"Probably because I'm good at catching lies. All I need to know is how to detect fear and-"

"Wait you can detect fear?"

"I can detect emotions, it's complicated." I shook my head.

"Really!? Tell me, how do I feel?"

"You're nervous," I replied within seconds.

"That's pretty amazing."

"Well thank you... why are you nervous though?"

"Uh... no reason-"

"You're lying." I smirked.

"N-No-"

"That's also a lie." I feel my smirk get bigger.

"Uh... well, anyway... oh, look at that we're here!" He smiled, parking the car, and getting out. I shook my head, and got out.

"Here we go!" I smiled.
