Dark vs Light

Searching for a light that may not exist.
Never stopped anyone from trying.
There's always a light at the end of each tunnel,
However, there could also be a continuous darkness.

At this point,
I'm beginning to believe there is only darkness for me.
I can try & see the brightest of things,
But there's always a turn of darkness ahead.
I'm starting to think that maybe darkness is better for me,
To embrace the shadows that's been chasing me for so long.

The light that everyone is trying to reach,
Could possibly be the evil we all fear.
We've been pushing the darkness away for so long,
Not knowing what it could possibly want.

Dark & light are two different things,
Maybe we are destine for one.
Not everyone its meant to be famous,
So maybe some aren't meant to be light but dark.

I've been fighting to reach for the light for so long,
I'm beginning to think it was never meant to be.
Who knows?
I could be a dark child.
