Darkness

Darkness is all I see.
Darkness is where I belong.
Darkness is where I'll stay.
Darkness is where I'll die one day.
I am a lost soul.
So far from my home.
Just full of dead memories.
Nothing but pain & misery.
The slightest happiness that comes my way,
Will come crashing down upon me the next day.
The kisses I receive fills this empty & broken heart,
However, it brings along the pain of loss.
As much as I hold on,
The item I hold dear to me,
Soon slips away from me.
Leaving me all alone,
To fall in dispair.
I scream in silent,
So no one can hear.
They won't understand,
Even if I try to explain.
They'll just see a problem child.
I try with all my might to reach for the light,
But each time I feel the slightest warmth,
I fall back into the darkness.
Quickly feeling the coldness of being alone.
However, I'm slowly adjusting to this dark feeling.
With the only thing in mind,
That darkness isn't all that bad.
So you see,
Darkness is all I see.
Darkness is where I belong.
Darkness is where I'll stay.
Darkness is where I'll die one day.
