Title: Love Letter

He was just Yukihira Soma, the idiot who fell in love with you from afar.

He didn't have a right to claim your heart, all he could do was watch you become happier with everyone else but him, and he wasn't all right with it.

But what else could he do?

He wasn't Ibusaki who was able to comfort you whenever you were down (no matter what time it was) and spent the majority of time with you, Megumi who was able to have an instant connection with you, Isshiki-senpai who was able to help you become more confident of your cooking in which you tried to perfect, Marui who was able to better understand your feelings for cooking and always knew the limit of your emotions, Ryōko who was always there whenever you felt intimidated by someone and always came to support you, Yuki who always made you smile and crack of few laughs whenever you needed it, or even Shoji and Daigo who always accompanied you to your classrooms to avoid your little fanboy club. 

All he could do was watch you from afar.

"(F/n)-chan, what is that?" Soma asked while walking with you and Megumi to class, making heat rise to your cheeks. You stuttered out, "A l-love l-letter..." 

"Oh, you received it? From who this time? A third year?" Soma asked bluntly, but truth is told, he was extremely annoyed that you received a love letter, the 6th one in the past two weeks.

Since many of the students knew you were good enough of a chef to become one of the elite ten, you've received many love letters and you were quite popular with boys, which you weren't fond of.

"Etto... I-it's for m-my c-crush..." you shyly stated, your cheeks were a rosy color and your head was down, not meeting anyone's gaze.

Soma's eyes widened, a love letter for your crush? He grips his bag tight, making his knuckles white and began to hurt, he was beyond irritated. He didn't want you to confess to your crush, especially if there was a high chance of them accepting you. Soma didn't want you to get rejected, but he didn't want you to be with someone else.

"(F/n)-san! That's great! Who's your crush?" Megumi excitedly asked, obviously wanting to know who your crush was, you quickly said, "N-no o-one in p-particular! I-I have t-to go!" as you sped walked to your classroom, leaving a confused Soma and Megumi behind you.

' Time skip '

"Ibusaki! Please help me practice confessing!" you pleaded, stopping Ibusaki from walking in front of you, which he groaned softly, "Ne, (y/n), just tell Soma you like him already. Why do you even have to practice? "

"J-just help me! P-please! J-just this once! I'm going to mess up while confessing..." you mumbled out, cheeks tinted a rosy color. Ibusaki pondered for a bit, before nodding.  You squealed and hugged him, before taking a deep breath.

"I-I really like you... I always h-have admired you, y-you're confidence is one o-of the best things a-about you. You're such an a-amazing person. Please a-accept m-my feelings!" you shakily said, while bowing and handing your letter towards Ibusaki. He grabbed your letter and said, "I like you too." You let out a big breath and jumped into his arms, squealing.

You were ready to confess to Soma.

- later that day -

"Ibusaki... wish me luck," you mumbled as you gathered up all your courage. As you walked down the corridor, you stopped at Soma's door. You quietly knocked, mustering up the minimum courage you had at that moment. You had the letter behind your back and began feeling less nervous.
