Title: Pick up

Kenma turned back to see Kuroo flirting with a woman, the third one within ten minutes, which annoyed Kenma. Both of them have been there for about thirty minutes, yet Kuroo didn't pick up the person who Kuroo claimed he was picking up. Kenma looked up at the board, the next plane was scheduled to arrive in 40 minutes, which Kenma narrowed his eyes. Kenma then slightly widened his eyes, stomping towards Kuroo, dragging his away from the woman.

"Kuroo, you told me to come with you to pick up someone from the airport. When you said to pick up someone, I didn't actually think you meant to pick up someone, as in tryin to find a date!" Kenma stated annoyance filled his words. Kuroo let out a light chuckle, obviously caught.

"Kenma, not just for me, but for you too! You haven't had a girlfriend since your second year in high school, you're already about to finish college for Pete's sake!" Kuroo dramatically stated, groaning at Kenma, who just shrugged his shoulders.

"And I left my phone in the car because you told me it wasn't going to take long," Kenma mumbled under his breath, looking away from Kuroo, going to find a place to sit.

Kuroo followed Kenma and sat down next to him, trying to start a conversation with Kenma, who only responded with him nodding or very simple and short answers. Kuroo sat quietly next to Kenma, trying to think of another way to start a conversation with him, but nothing came to mind.

A girl walked past, who sat next to Kuroo and began having a conversation, in which Kenma rolled his eyes.

Kuroo began to talk with the lady, "What brings you here?" "Oh, I'm here to pick up a friend, they're supposed to be arriving in 30 minutes or so, you?" the lady asked. She was fairly pretty with her hair cut just above her shoulders and extremely polite. She smiled at Kuroo, who blushed at her cuteness, "Well... I came here to help my friend pick up someone." he said, rubbing his neck slightly, as Kenma glared at the back of his head.

Kuroo could feel Kenma staring at him, making him sweatdrop.

Kenma stood up, before announcing to the both of them, "I'm going to... eat," before leaving Kuroo and the women alone. Kenma walked away, looking for a place to eat or at least to pass time. He needed a place to pass 40 minutes or so, so then he and Kuroo could leave. Kenma began to think he could just ask Kuroo for the car keys so he could just get his phone from the car.

He knew Kuroo wouldn't let him, last time he asked, Kenma left Kuroo carless for about 2 hours so go to the other side of the town to buy a limited edition video game.

Kenma sighed while slouching a bit. He was beyond bored just walking around the airport, Kenma looked up at the board once more, before sighing out loud.

10 minutes before he and Kuroo could leave. He spent 20 minutes just walking around the airport, the most walking Kenma has done that week. He decided to actually eat some food, stopping by a fast food restaurant since that were the only kind of restaurants they had in an airport. He waited in line, a medium size line. As he patiently waited, he heard so many footsteps outside in the huge passageway.

The airplane arrived, he thought to himself before it was his turn to order. Kenma ordered something simple, a hamburger with no mustard, two large fries, and a medium juice. He went to look for an empty table, once Kenma found one, he sat down. He waited for the cashier to call his number, which soon they did.

As Kenma went up to the cashier to pay and get his meal on a tray. As Kenma walked back to his table, he noticed an (h/c) lady sitting at his table. He looked around to see if there were empty tables, but there wasn't. Kenma groaned softly, as he walked to his booth. He sat down his tray softly, making you looked up tp him, confused for a bit before realizing he was the one who just got up.

"O-oh! I'm s-sorry! I thought you left... I'll just... leave." you shyly said, cheeks flushed a bit before grabbing the handle of your luggage. Kenma spoke up, making you freeze, "It's fine. Sit down... if you want. I... don't mind." His shy voice made the hair on the back of your neck stand up, you oddly found his voice comforting.

You turned to look at him, before saying small thanks. You realized he handed you one of his fries, before you shook your head, "I-It's your food... you s-should eat it."

"I'm offering... I'll feel weird if you don't eat and just sit there... watching me eat," he stated, not meeting your gaze. Your blush deepened a bit more, before eating the fries a total and hot stranger gave to you.

"Kenma... Kenma Kozume," he said, making you tilt your head to the side before you realized he stated his name, you stuttered out, "(L/n) (F/n)." You smiled as you took out a book to read.

You looked at Kenma who choked slightly before asking you, "Is that Overwatch? The book that was written after the video game?"

You were shocked, not many people knew about Overwatch the book. You shyly smiled before saying, "Y-yes. I just got it last week but I was reading a trilogy so I kinda put it on hold... but I began reading it on the airplane." "No way! I heard there was a book... but many just brushed it off... saying it wouldn't be as good as the game." Kenma stated, looking at his food before taking a sip from his juice, making you eat a fry.

"W-well they're wrong! T-the book has a g-good plot and they did a great job portraying the abilities of each character with such depth. Of course... many would say the game is better... but they haven't read it. The book gave... Overwatch a new meaning. Playing the game versus reading it... there is so much difference but that's what is amazing about the book... you don't know what would happen next." You stated, clearly amazed at the book.

While speaking about Overwatch, you grabbed the book and skimmed through the book, stopping at certain pages before continuing skimming once more. Kenma was amazed at how much you claimed the book was clearly enjoyable, truth was he didn't own the book, so he didn't understand some parts but none the less gave his full attention to you.

"(Y/n), you sound like a little girl talking about princesses." Kenma joked, making you blush. You looked at your fries before smiling and eating two fries.

Kenma had begun taking to you about Overwatch and what other games you like, leaning on his hand and smiling a bit, fascinated by your answers. You were not like him, you rambled about some parts while he usually replied with short answers. Kenma suddenly realized that he strangely enjoyed your company, and he started taking a liking towards you. He actually wanted to keep on talking with you, he wanted to get to know you better.

Your phone buzzed, as you checked your eyes widened. You quickly stood up, startling Kenma, before saying, "O-oh my god! I forgot my friend came here to pick me up!" You gathered your stuff before throwing the trash from your food away, and returning to Kenma saying, "I need to go... my friend is waiting for me."

Kenma stood before timidly saying, "I... can walk you to your friend. I left mine waiting too." You smiled before saying, "Of course, Kenma." Kenma threw away his food, except his juice before leaving a $20 tip.

As you to walked, side by side, you complained that you were thirsty from the fries. Kenma gave you the remaining of his juice, which surprisingly was half way done. You took a sip, before realizing it was an indirect kiss, which made you blush. As you two walked together, Kenma saw Kuroo still with that girl, before the girl looked at the both of you before screaming out your name. Kuroo turned to look at Kenma, smirking at him, making Kenma roll his eyes.

"I thought you went to go eat, not pick up someone Kenma." Kuroo teased, making Kenma look at the ground. Kuroo spoke up, "I have an idea, why don't we all go out on a double date? Tonight? It's on me, let's get to know each other." Both girls agreed before Kenma nodded too.

You came up to Kenma, whispering to his ear, "I wanna get to know you Kenma, you're pretty cute. See you later." before giving his a quick peck on his cheek, and handing him a piece of paper with your number on it, making him blush a bit. You smiled at him one more time, before walking away with your friend, giggling.

Kuroo walked up to Kenma, smirking at Kenma who still had his little blush, Kenma couldn't wait for his date with you, later on, making his smile at the thought of you.
