Title: Dreams

This one shot will not follow the actual plotline/anime/manga. Extremely short one shot.

"Did you eat my cereal?!" you asked, already knowing the answer to that question. 

As you grabbed your favorite box of cereal, you began to narrow your eyes at him. Nishiki merely chuckled, smiling softly while scratching the back of his neck. "No..." 

"Nishio! You have your own cereal, plus you don't even like this kind!" you whined, pouting at your boyfriend. Nishiki began to slowly walk away before he turned his body in the opposite direction, beginning to run after the hazelnut colored male. 

You groaned as you set your nearly empty box of (f/c)* on the counter and chase after Nishiki. He ran up the stairs of your shared apartment and hid in the closet. You ran into the bathroom, only to find him nowhere; as you into your bedroom and look under the bed, Nishiki came and hugged you from behind causing you to jump.

"Nishio! You startled me!" you whined, crossing your arms refusing to hug your boyfriend who was laughing at how easily startled you were. 

"(Name), I swear you're too easy to scare, it's cute." Nishiki said, turning you around in order to face him. You refused to look at him, looking to the side while still crossing your arms. 

His arms were around your waist, his face was inches away from yours. 

"(Name), I'm sorry. If you want, I'll go and buy you a new box okay?" Nishiki said, kissing your cheek as your turned to look at him, blushing. 

"Really? Thank you! I can never be mad at you, Nishio. I love you too much to even be away from you. " you said, hugging his neck and kissing his cheek. He hugged you a bit tighter, leaving hardly any space between you two. 

"I love you too, (Name)." 

"You know, I don't actually get mad when you eat my cereal. You know that right?" you stated, pulling away from him and looking into his eyes. 

He stared into your (e/c) orbs, mesmerized at the beautiful shade while replying, "Of course I know, I just eat it to get on your nerves." 

"Idiot. You never change." was all you said, before hugging his waist and laying your head on his broad chest. He wrapped his arms around you, saying, "You love me anyways." 

"I know. I'll always love you, Nishio," you said, looking up at Nishiki before slowly leaning in. Nishiki softly said, "I'll always love you too."

Right before you could smash your lips onto his, his phone vibrated loudly causing him to wake up. 

Nishiki groaned, he felt how cold your bed actually, it has been getting colder every day. The pillow he borrowed for that night as stained with his tears, so much for a peaceful dream that night.

He turned his head to look at your room, noticing how everything was left in the exact place you left all of your belongings. Nishiki grabbed his phone, noticing it was a message from Kaneki. 

Time - 7:52 AM
From: Kaneki-Kun
To: Nishiki Nishio

Nishiki-kun, come on, please. I know you don't want to but you have to attend (Name)chan's funeral. I'm sorry but you have to. 

As he read the message, Nishiki threw his phone onto the other side of the room, not even bothering to reply back.

He began to sob once more, making the pillow even wetter than it already was. The lump in his throat was a common feeling he felt for a while now, along with his eyes burning as the tears fell from his face.

It was then that Nishiki wished that he never woke up again from his dream, the dream in which you were still alive.
