Title: Over the hills

This one shot will take place during Book of Circus.

Joker introduced you both, "Ladies and gentlemen! The siblings' duo who do such graceful acrobats: Eayila!" You turned around to face your brother, Aka, which he greeted you with a smile in which you returned.

You rushed to get on stage along with your brother trailing right behind you; you were fairly short compared to his stature, you were 149 cm tall at 13 years old with a petite body while Aka stood at 181 centimeters at 17 years old with broad shoulders and wore a simple white long sleeve shirt with red pants which were similar to suspenders, to finish off the look his dyed red hair was fairly long but under a dark shade of red hat and black shoes. He also wore the Japanese kanji character symbol "forever" under his left eye and had gold pins on his pants where his pockets were located.

You wore a light green dress that was puffy around your waist and it reached mid-thigh and had puffy sleeves around your shoulders but then was tight down to your wrists. Your (h/c) was pulled into a neat and professional bun with a black headband securing your bangs. You wore black flats (ballerina shoes) that had straps circling your leg until it reached your knee, securing that your shoes wouldn't fall off and you always painted the Japanese kanji character symbol of "together" right under your right eye.

You took a deep breath and began to do your acrobat show with your brother. (the video at the beginning but just pretend it doesn't have music) Yours and your brother's acrobat wasn't like the rest of first string's works but that's why you two rose up so quickly; it because it so was so divergent but yet it was so ravishing.

"We have two new second-stringers! Aren't you excited Aka? Mi?" Dagger asked, eyes excitedly while peeking into your tent. You were in your brother's tent, laying down on the bed while he was reading a book sitting on a chair. You sat up, delighted to hear the news, "Really? Gah! I want to meet them!" you excitedly said with the same enthusiasm as Dagger. You jumped on the bed and in the air you put forced your body to move off the bed, landing perfectly on your right foot as the other one was at a pointed out towards the left on the ground. Aka put down the book, "(Name), don't go see them. They'll probably cause trouble," while sighing and looking at your back.

You groaned, slouching and turning to see him, he never used your stage name but everyone else did. "Akio, I'll be right back! I'll go introduce myself to them." as you rushed out the tent, grabbing Dagger's arm pulling him with you as your brother groaned, you never listened.

You stopped as you saw two new members talking among themselves. You weren't one to lie but both of them were fairly attractive, especially the shorter one. You walked up to them both with Dagger right behind you, you stopped causing Dagger to bump into you.

"Hello! I'm Mi, welcome to the circus!" you cheerfully said, smiling widely. The tall one said, "I'm Black. A pleasure to meet you and this one-" "Black, I can introduce myself. I'm Smile, a pleasure to meet your acquaintance." the blue haired one said, looking bored. You were surprised at how proper English he spoke!

"Come! I'll show you around!" you said, taking both of the second-stringers by their hands, rushing outside of the tent; causing Smile to blush at the sudden contact. Dagger sighed to himself, "Oh, Mi. I hope they both are alright with her energy."

As you showed them around the tents, you never stopped smiling and giggling towards them. You thought it was weird how he was named Smile but yet he seemed somewhat grumpy. "Ne, how come you're not smiling? Smile is your name so you should be smiling!" you asked, pouting causing Smile to blush. He stuttered, "Uh... I d-don't know how to make conversation... with new people." "Don't worry! We're all family here now!" you smiled brightly, causing his cheeks flush in embarrassment and Black to chuckle.

Two days passed and you seemed to always stick by Smile's side, despite his utter complaining about you following him around like a puppy. You were fond of his company and how he would turn red whenever you grabbed his hand or hid behind him when Dagger played tricks on you, it was all entertaining.

"Mi-" Smiled started but was interrupted by you saying, "Smile! Call me by my real name!" "Sorry... (name)? How long have you been in Noah's Ark?" Smiled asked, sitting down looking up at the sky. You sat down next to him, shoulder to shoulder while also looking up at the sky as well. "Roughly... about three months. Me and my brother were accepted by Joker with open arms... but my brother isn't so happy anymore." You stated, looking down at your (s/c) feet. Smile looked at you, curious as to why.

You took a deep breath, "Honestly... I don't know why. Recently, he's been whispering to the other first-strings and goes out of the tent late at night when he thinks I'm asleep and I don't even notice when he comes back..."

Suddenly, Smile starts coughing harshly causing a commotion; eventually Black comes to pick up Smile and escort him to the medical tent, you trailing behind him. You stayed there with Smile, Black on your right and Freckles on your left, rushing out of the tent to get some ice. Smile poked Black's palm but since you didn't go to school, you didn't understand what it meant. Black left and it was just the both of you and the doctor, but Smile was a bit drowsy.

"Are you okay, Smile?" you worriedly asked, taking Smile's hand in yours, making him stir up a bit. He lightly smiled, assuring you he was fine but he wanted to sleep. You being you, you went to the other side of the bed and quietly got under the cover, causing Smile to open his eyes enough to see you laying down to him. Just as he was about to complain about you, you cut him off saying, "Shh... I'll sing you a song so you can sleep,"

You sang softly, looking at Smile who slept so peacefully right next to you. You had a beautiful voice so you weren't afraid of it cracking you quickly felt something on your hand. As you looked, you saw Smile's hand intertwined with yours, making heat rush to your cheeks. He snuggled closer to you just as you finished singing making his face extremely close to yours; all you did was kiss his cheek as you fell asleep next to him.

During the night, Smile kept on moving around, as if he was having a nightmare making you stir up in your sleep. You grab his hand once more, giving it a light squeeze to reassure him that he was safe, it made him calm down. You took the opportunity to snuggle to his side just as he put his left arm around your waist, whispering, "(name).."

You heard voices speaking in a hushed tone, but you pretended to still be asleep, holding onto Smile's hand once more, afraid to let go. You felt him sit up but still gently holding your hand, which made you hold his hand a bit tighter. You felt the covers being gently pushed down towards your feet but only enough for Smile to get up.

"Oh, master. It seems as if you do not want to leave yet?" a voice that sounded a lot like Black's held mockery making Smile clench his hands a bit more rough on yours. You heard him reply, "Enough Sebastian." You felt him being picked up he refused to let go of your hand, picking it up a bit as he was lifting. "Does the master refuse to let go?" Black's voice rang in your ear but all Smile replied was, "She's the one not letting go."

Lies.

 He gave your hand one last squeeze right before letting go, making your hand go limp. You opened your eyes just as Smile turned back to look at you, smiling before turning away. But not before mouthing, "I like you."

Yet that same day he left, leaving you behind.
