I am sorry it took a while, but I had a week full of tests and tomorrow is the last one, but I felt like writing today:)

You are in Tenerife with a couple of friends. You are the oldest of the girls, not that you mind, you are used to being the oldest. In your family you are the oldest and due to failing a year in school, so now you are the oldest in your class. Your best friend is Ana Sainz. You get along really well. When you met her you already liked her and she did the same.

You are going to the beach. You love the beach, but mostly the water. It is refreshing and it gives you an amazing feeling. You are tanned by the sun and the color of your hair is lighter than it is nowadays. As soon as you stand on the warm sand you take of your sandals and make your way to a nice spot on the beach where you and your friends place your bags.

"I am going to swim. Who wants to join me?" Everyone shake their head and you shrug your shoulders and take of your shorts and top. You place them in your bag and you jog to the water. It is a little bit cold, but you don't mind. You walk further and when you are deep enough you let yourself fall back to go under water completely. You get back up and you throw your hair back, out of your face. You smile and look to the ocean in front of you. Behind you you hear Ana yell something in Spanish and you turn around. She signals to a group of men and you frown. What is going on? You get out of the water and reach Ana at the same moment the group of guys do. They place their belongings next to yours and your friend's and you frown again. Ana is in the meantime done hugging a couple of the guys that are now accompanying you and you pull her by her arm a little bit away. "Do you know these guys?" Ana smiles and nods.

"Most of them." She walks away and leaves you standing there surprised. You lay down on your towel and you close your eyes, before drifting off to sleep. When you wake up you have to blink a couple of times because the sun is shining in your eyes. You sit up straight and look at the towel that is now on your lap. When you look at the ocean you see all your friends swimming there. You smile and start to look around for a bottle of water when you notice a tanned man with black hair next to you.

"Oh, hi." You say and you continue looking for a water bottle. You find your bottle to see it is empty, well, a couple of drops are left, enough for one tiny sip. You sigh and open the bottle.

"Do you want some water?" The guy asks and you nod. Your throat is dry and you are really thirsty. "Here." He hands over a bottle and you drink a little.

"Thank you." You smile at him.

"You're welcome." It is quiet for a while and you play a little with the sand. "I am Carlos by the way." When you look at him he smiles and you smile back at him shaking his hand.

"Y/n." You talk for a while and then the both of you decide to get into the water to. You and Carlos get along really well and you have a lot of fun. Ana sends you some glares, but you just ignore them. Later that night you lay on your bed and think about Carlos. He was really sweet and really handsome.

"You and Carlos get along really well I saw." You smile and nod. "You are starting to like him a lot don't you?!" Your cheeks flush red and you nod slightly. "This is so awkward!" You sit up and look at Ana.

"Why would it be awkward?" You ask and Ana looks at you surprised.

"Did the name say nothing to you?" You don't get it at all. "He didn't mention what his job is?" You shake his head. "Carlos is my brother." Now your eyes widen.

"He is your what?!"

"My brother, that is why it is awkward, but it is nice you get along really well though, I would love to have you as my sister in law." Ana grins and you just sit there.

"I don't follow you, he is your brother? And I am starting to... Oh dear..." You let yourself fall back again. You inhale deeply and then stand up. "I am going for a little walk. I'll see you later!" Ana said that it was fine and you walk out of the hotel. You make your way to the beach that is actually right next to the hotel and you sit down on the sand that is still warm. The sun is down already and a soft breeze brushes your arms. You shiver. It is colder than you expected when you left the hotel.

"Are you cold?" You jump up and turn around to find Carlos standing in front of you. He chuckled and you took a deep breath.

"I thought you were some kind of freak!" You exclaim.

"Sorry." You smile and sit down again, Carlos sits next to you. You stay silent for a while, but you speak up.

"You could have told me you are Ana's sister." You said and you looked at him from the corner of his eyes. "It is kind of weird to find it out the way I just did." You see that Carlos' smile drops and you wonder why.

"Because I didn't want you to act any different around me than you would if I wasn't her sister. This way you at least acted like you really felt." You smile.

"I did have a lot of fun." Carlos looks up with a spark of hope in his eyes. "And I hope that me knowing you are her brother won't change anything between us."

"I hope the same thing." Carlos' smile was back on his face and he places his arm around you and you place your head on his shoulder.
