" he reached out to touch my face but I swatted his hand away and continued to limp to my room I just wanted to wash up , and go to sleep I was disappointed when I was standing outside I heard him and August laughing in the living room but whatever I got my New Orleans saints sweatpants and a black crew neck after I got my pajamas and my bath and body lotion I stepped into the bathroom and lifted my shirt up slowly and seen dark bruises and cuts left on my sides and my stomach I touched lightly over one of them and almost cried instantly , I got in the warm shower and slowly and carefully washed my body and then after I pulled the shower curtain back and slowly stepped out but when I did I felt a pain I'm my foot " ahh fuck bruh " I grunted as I dried off and put my sports bra on and then my shirt , after that I stared at my face in the mirror my lip was swollen and my nose had been bleeding but it's fine I limped out to the kitchen silently as I ran one hand through my wet and wavy hair . " one of the lenses are broken " I said going back to my room and slamming the door and sitting behind the door crying silently I wasn't going to let them see me cry meaning him and August , I grabbed onto my dresser and tried to get up but I tripped " ahhhhh shit " I winced as a sharp pain went through my ankle just then I heard someone opening the door and T rushed toward me and picked me up and put me in my bed and asked if I was ok I didn't say anything I just turned my back toward him ignoring his question . I reached over to my other pillow and picked up my phone and called the one person I talk to about everything she's never been over but what ever she's my bestfriend Reggie she Hawaiian and black with long pretty curly hair and hazel eyes and she's a little shorter than me but I love her ; " mhm hello " she said picking up the phone " can you pleas come ova here " I said with my voice croaking because I was going to cry

" aye wake ya ass up shay " Reggie said sitting on the left side of my bed .

" I'm up " I said in a sleepy voice .

" why you didnt tell me ya brother was just about fine as hell ? and his friend cute to " she said pulling my cover back so she could sit down .

" oh I don't know maybe because he's my brother " I said fixing my hair .

" did dey leave any marks on you ? " Reggie said getting serious .

" yeah , and alot of bruises on my stomach " I said sliding off of my bed slowly standing up and pulling my shirt over my head and turned around slowly letting her see the cuts and bruises that I had in my sides and stomach .

" DAMN " she said with her mouth open just then I heard a small knock on the door but I didn't want to open it so I see August standing there with his black beats around his neck " uhm shantay T wanted me to tell ya he was going to buy somethin to eat did ya and your friend want something ? " he said looking at me and then the floor .

" buffalo wings " I said trying to cover myself but my hand landed on one of the bruises and I winced with my teeth clinched .

" whoa take it easy " he said grabbing my arm and checking to see if I was ok .

" thanks " I said nervously " I'm good " I said looking over at Reggie who had this goofy look on ha face .

" ok jus makin ' sure ma " he said walking out and slowly shutting the door behind him .

" T SHE SAY SHE WANT BUFFALO WINGS " August said walking outside to get in his car .

"Mhm you want ya some August don't ya guh ?" She said smiling from ear to ear .
