In Your Eyes (BaekMi)

Chapter 1

"Are you really just best friends?" Bomi just laugh at her Eunji's question.

The moment they stepped on college, nothing changed on how Bomi and Baekhyun treated themselves. They still hold hands, Baekhyun brings her bag, and he walks her to her class. Most of her classmates don't believe them that they are JUST best friends.

"Impossible! There's really something between the two of you. And there's no such thing as platonic relationship between a girl and a guy." Baekhyun and Bomi look at each other and burst out laughing.

"Nothing, really. We're best friends. Anyways, thanks for walking me here, Baek. You may go to your class now." She smiled at him and he smiled back as he nodded, giving her back her bag.

"I'll see you later then. Bye." And then he walks aways.

She's smiling as she takes her sit and her two friends, Chorong and Eunji, then approached her. Even her classmates that are mostly boys are asking her questions about her and Baekhyun. She smiles at them.

She's happy with her relationship with Baekhyun. And she knew that nothing will change in their status. She hopes so. 'Cause she doesn't want Baek's attention to be diverted into other girls. She wants his attention all by herself and also with her twin sister.

But months later, everything changed....with just a glimpse of an eye.

"Yah! Was that your best friend? Why is he with Taeyeon?" Bomi turned to look at the direction where Baekhyun and Taeyeon are happily talking while eating. She then looks away. She can't bear to look at the view.

"And why is he eating with her? I thought that it's a habit of yours eating together. What happened?" Chorong asked. She just ignored her question and continued eating.

She knew that there's a possibility that there will be changes in their friendship especially that they are now in college. But she didn't expect it to happen now. She didn't see it coming but she can do nothing about this.

"Sis, are you okay? Did you have a fight with Baek?" She looked at her sister and shook her head. As what she can remember, Baekhyun and her were just talking on the phone last night and they didn't fight. Though he said something towards her that caused her heart to bleed.

/Flashback:

"Oh, waeyo? You just want to disturb me, don't you?" She can hear him laughing on the other line. It's a habit of them talking on the phone before they sleep.

(Bomi, I have a confession to make.)

She can feel her heart beating fast. Is it possible that Baekhyun will tell her now that he also loves her? 'Cause no doubt, she truly loves him more than friends.

(Yah! Are you still alive? Don't sleep on me, Bbom.)

"Yeah, still here. What is it?"

(I think I like...) She doesn't know that she held her breath as she waited for him to continue. (...Taeyeon. What should I do?)

And she thought she heard a sound of something that is broken. She was dumbfounded.

(Bomi-yah, don't sleep.) She exhaled deeply as tears flow down to her cheeks slowly.

"Yah, I'm not asleep. I'm just shocked, that's all." She stopped herself from sobbing so that Baekhyun can't hear her crying. "What's your plan now?"

(That's why I asked you. I don't know what to do. It's my first time to feel this way.) And it's true. Being with him for a very long time, she didn't notice him liking a girl. Just now.

"Just stop all of it. Please don't like her, Baek. Choose to like me, oppa. Please." but of course she didn't tell it to him. She doesn't have the courage to tell him. "I don't know what to say, oppa. You know that I also don't have any experience to that kind of thing. Tsk!" And Baekhyun just laughed at her. "But I want you to make sure of your feelings towards her. Spend some time with her." And she regrets what she said. She wants to take it back. What if Baekhyun will really do it? He will be more distant from her.

'So stupid of you, Bomi! Ugh!'

(Jungmal? Then I'll start tomorrow. How about I'll invite her to eat lunch with me?) She cries even more.

"Th-that's a nice idea." And she sniffs.

(Hey, are you okay?) Baekhyun must have heard her sniffed.

"Yeah, just sinusitis. Anyways, I need to sleep. Baek, good night. Sweet dreams."

(Okay. Have a good rest. Dream of me.) She smiled but then her smile disappeared when she remembered that he likes another girl.

"Tsss, I don't want to. You just want me to tease you, right? Okay, dream of Taeyeon then. Night." With that, she ended the call and cried herself to sleep./

"We're cool, Su. Now let's continue eating. We have lot of things to do." Her twin and her friends just nodded. She secretly looks at Baekhyun and Taeyeon's direction and sigh.

Now there's no chance of Baekhyun liking her—even the slightest chance.

Bomi is reviewing for her quiz later but an unbelievable sadness comes over her. Flashbacks of her talking to Baekhyun last night and Baekhyun happily talking to Taeyeon earlier occupies her mind. She deeply sighed and stared on her notes. She can't focus.

"UGH!" She slapped herself lightly. Bomi, focus. Get that Baekhyun out of your mind!

"YAH!" Someone jab a finger on her side and she automatically scream. She heard a laugh so she turn to his direction and saw Baekhyun laughing. No doubt, the jerk did it to her. She starts to slap him on his arm but he just laughs.

"What are you laughing for? I hate you!" Baekhyun sits down on the chair beside her and turns to face her. He sweetly smiled at her—the kind of smile that he showed only to her and to Sumi—and she can't help but to smile back. "Psh! Now you're using that dog-smile of yours at me." She teases but his smile never fades. "Yah, spill it out. I know there's a reason behind that sweet smile."

"She said yes! Haha!" He said happily and she was left dumbfounded. She didn't know that he already courted Taeyeon. Why so fast?

"Wh-what? You already courted her? Congratulations! You really are growing up." She can feel her eyes tearing up but she controls herself. She put a hand on his head and messed his hair. "I'm so proud of you, best friend." She faked a smile so Baekhyun can't see her pain.

"Tsk! Don't mess my hair, Bbom-ah." She just laughs. It's really difficult to laugh when you really want to cry, no? "And what are you saying? I didn't court her. I just invited her to hang out later and she's okay with it. Bbom, help me on picking up clothes to wear, please." Even though she doesn't want to see him putting an effort to become handsome for other girls, she can't say no to him. She just nodded and pinched his cheeks.

"Be thankful that you're cute. Okay. Trust me on this." She winked at him and Baekhyun just laughed at her.

"Why so cute? Arasso. Just go straight to our house later after your dismissal. I'll tell mom that you're going there so that she can prepare you snacks. I know that you love snacks." She just rolled her eyes playfully.

"Oi, is that what you came here for? You're such a disturbance. Go away now, Baek. I need to study." She said to push him away. As always, he just laughed at her and raised both of his hands as a sign of defeat.

"I'm going now. Bbom-ah, annyeong. Good luck on your quiz. Fighting!" And he walks away, leaving her looking at his back. Before he disappeared in the crowd, he looked back and gave her a flying kiss. She just laughed at his naughtiness.

'Baekhyun, you're responsible on my heart. You're making me fall for you even without doing anything. I love you Baek, because you are you. I hope I can say this to you.'
