Chapter 13

Bomi woke up by the sound of her phone ringing. She answered the call without looking at the screen and smiled when she heard a familiar voice over the line.

(Mama~ good morning.) Baby Nick cheerily greeted. It seems that Baby Nick's voice totally wakes her up from slumber.

"Good morning, my handsome baby. Mama misses you so much." She said as her eyes landed on the digital clock on the bedside table and it's already 5 in the morning.

(I miss you more, mama. Don't worry, we'll see each other soon.)

"When is that? I really want to see you." Baby Nick giggled on the other line so her smile widens.

(It's still a secret. I need to hang this up, mama. Mommy wants me to rest.) She imagined her nephew pouting so she chuckled.

"Okay baby. You really need to rest to regain your strength. We'll talk later, okay?"

(Okay mama. I love you.)

"I love you too. Bye."

After ending the call, she then got up and went directly to the bathroom to prepare herself. She thought to jog around the subdivision.

"Mom, can I ask dad to cancel the engagement? Cause mom, I'm so sure of courting Bomi." He can feel that Bomi still loves him so now he wants to do his part, to take the chance.

"Re-really, son?" He was surprised at his mom's reaction. It's like she's happy with what she heard. "Uhm...do you really love Bomi? Cause if you don't, don't you dare try to continue courting her. I don't want her to be hurt."

"Mom, I'm in love with Bomi since I don't know. It's just that I don't have the courage to tell her. Now that I have a chance, I want to tell her what I really felt since the beginning. I don't want to lose her again." His mom smiled at what he said. Suddenly, his dad joined them and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Good thing you're now awake from dreaming for a very long time and realized Bomi's worth in your life. Don't worry about the engagement, son. That was all just a joke. We did it just to wake you up to reality. Even making Bomi as the Head engineer of the project, Mr. Byoon, Mr. Jung, and I planned it all." He can't deny that he was surprised at his dad's statement but he smiled and hugged his dad.

"Thanks dad."

"Sumi~! Kyaaahhh!" Chorong called her friend. Sumi turned to see her and smiled, making her way near her.

"Chorong-ah!" And they hugged each other. Minhwan just looked at them while holding Baby Nick that is sleeping on his arms. "Good thing you arrived here. I'm sorry for disturbing you just to get us here. And thank you so much."

"It's okay, really. I'm used to being fetcher haha. I was actually the one who fetched Bomi here."

"We'll better make it up to you. Anyways, this is Minhwan, my husband, and baby Nick. We let him rest while waiting for you. Hon, this is Chorong. Bomi and I's friend." The two just smiled at each other. "Oh, your boyfriend is not here, isn't he?"

"Yep. We live in the different side of the world haha. Come on, let's go. So that you can have a rest."

"Good morning beautiful." Bomi put a hand on her chest when Baekhyun totally surprised her. She just got out of the gate and Baekhyun suddenly appeared wearing a jogging attire like her.

"Gosh! You should give some indication that you're around, Baek. I almost got a heart attack." Baekhyun just chuckled at her reaction and approached her. "Oh? Why are you here?"
