George POV

"So you go to Ilvermorny?" I asked Brook and Ave.
"Yeah, we're both in Thunderbird,"They say in sync.
That was a bit weird, but then again,me and Fred do it all the time.
They laughed. I was sitting in Aves living room and asking them both questions. There was a ding all of a sudden.
Brook pulled something out of her pocket. It lit up and she tapped it a few times.
          "What's that?" I asked curiously.
"It's a cell phone. Brook, is it your dad?" Ave asked.
Brook sighed and showed Ave the phone, "can I stay here tonight?"
Aves eyes widened and she nodded, "you know my parents don't mind."
I was confused. What was going on? Brook apparently saw the confused look on my face.
"My parents are divorced. My mom is a teacher at the school which means I have to live here in the summer. I hate my stepmom and step-siblings. My stepmom just texted me and said that we need to talk."
"Why is that a bad thing?" I asked, not getting it yet.
"The last time they decided they needed to talk, it ended up with a huge screaming match and Brook didn't go home for a good month," Ave said.
"Yep," Brook said with a sigh, "I'll be back in 15 minutes."
With that she stood up, and walked to the door. A minute after she left, Ave ran to another room. I followed her, wondering where she was going. I walked into a room I was guessing was her bedroom. After all it had a bed with a dark purple comforter and (where you could actually see the walls) lavender walls. Posters of things I didn't understand and pictures of Ave, Brook and Karly covered most of the walls.
            "You like purple-"
"Shhhh!!! I need to know what they're going to say!" Ave said as she shushed me.
I was about to ask what she was talking about when I heard the yells from above us. I personally couldn't make out what they were saying but I guessed Ave did.
There was a knock at the door and I walked over to get it. Sirius was standing in the door frame when I opened it.
"Sirius! How'd it go? Did you see Karly?" I asked quickly.
"I saw her. And it bloody went horrible between me and her," Sirius said as he walked in.
We sat down in the living room and Ave walked in a few minutes later. But she didn't notice us. She was fuming, and apparently lost in her own world.
"Awful. That's what they are. And they don't listen to her! They wonder why she's always here."
"Ave!" I said loudly to snap her out of it.
She looked up at us, "oh sorry. Didn't realize how lost in thought I was."
"You were saying your thought aloud then. Did it not go well then?" I asked.
Ave didn't need to answer. Brook came storming into the room, clearly mad and annoyed.
"I don't know when they're going to realize I'm freaking 15!" She practically yelled.
Ave gave Brook a hug, "we can talk about that later. And we can owl your mom. Right now we need to focus on the task of getting Karly's memories back."
Brook nodded and then turned to us, "sorry about this. I didn't mean to bring you into this."
"We all got family drama. My biological family consisted of people who were so obsessed with blood status that they would try and force us to marry cousins. But the people I actually consider family, ones dead ones a traitor one is back home and my daughter doesn't remember me," Sirius said.
"Yeah I got an older brother that's a complete prat. And another brother who works with dragons. And another brother who works with goblins. I also got a twin and another brother and sister."
Brook let out a small laugh, "I guess my problems aren't that bad, but I see what your getting at."
We smiled and stayed where we were till Ave decided to break the silence.
"So how'd it go with Emma?"
Sirius sighed, "with Emma, great. With Karly, not so great. These false memories are messing with all of this!"
"Well she isn't supposed to remember you and go looking for you. What did you expect, her to be given a good image for you?" I asked.
Sirius was about to reply when there was another ding. But this time, it came from Aves pocket. She pulled out another one of those phone things and looked at it. Her eyes grew wide.
"Looks like we're going on a road trip. Now."

(A/N so I wrote this chapter while being angry at my own stepsister. Brook is based off of me, but my name isn't Brook. She just has a somewhat similar situation to me. Except I see my mom all the time and I don't have to see my dad throughout the whole summer. Just parts of it. So that's something that isn't really relevant and doesn't really matter. But yeah it's there so deal with it.
Back to a better topic, whatcha guys think of this chapter? I'm starting to get more into the area where it's not going to be as hard to write. But warning HUGE TIME SKIP IN THE NEXT CHAPTER! You'll see what I mean. Anyways please comment and vote! Thanks!!)
