Karly POV

I have learned about my own personal beaters. Their names: Fred and George Weasley. They keep the bludgers (people who decided to be mean to me) away.
I was getting excited to see Ron try out for keeper, when they started.
Who's the person who started it all? I'll give you three hints: his name starts with a D, he's a Slytherin, and his parents are trying to find a way so I am forced to marry him.
Ding ding ding, you got it. Draco Malfoy.
"You look awful Black. Well worse than usual."
I clenched my hands under the table. I tried to ignore him and the other people with him who were snickering.
"Really, what's with all the scars? Did your old favorite teacher the werewolf, bite you? Making you more of a freak than you already are?"
I stood up and was about to yell at him when George showed up and punched Draco. Fred showed up next and pushed the others with him into the other table.
"Insult her one more time. I dare you," George hissed at Draco.
Unfortunately for Draco, he thought it was an empty threat.
"We were all better off when everyone thought she was dead."
This time, Fred, George, and myself pounced on him. I got to him first though.
"You sick evil git! Your just like the rest of your family! A slimy, no good, pureblood obsessed, coward!" I yelled.
"At least people actually respect my parents! Your father's a murder. And no one knows anything about your mother. Why? Because she's probably a freak like her daughter."
Before I could react I felt the blow of the stupify curse hit me. I fell back into Fred and George started throwing spells at Draco who was deflecting them and sending some back.
"Renverte," Fred muttered and I could move again.
"Thanks. Now I'm going to get this git."
I never got a chance to though.
"What in heavens name do you lot think your doing?!" McGonagall asked as she stood in between the two boys who stopped throwing curses at each other.
"He," George spat, "said that Lupin bit Karly, making her more of a freak, and that we were all better when people thought Karly was dead and insulted her family. I retaliated."
           "I helped!" Fred said.
Professor McGonagall huffed, "miss Black is this true?"
"Yes," I said glaring at Draco.
"Very well, detention Mr. Weasley's and Mr. Malfoy. And twenty points from Gryffindor and Slytherin. Mr. Weasley come talk to me in my office, no not you Fred, George!"
Fred sat down and pulled me down with him as George and McGonagall walked away.
"I'll get you eventually Black. They can't protect you forever," Draco said as he walked away.
I kept my eyes on my hands. They were both now badly scared. The nightmare, as I started calling her that, saw the scars from toad woman and decided "oh let's scar the other hand." I was covered in scars now. My arms, a few on my face and legs, my neck, practically everywhere.
"You know he loves you even more with those scars," Fred says, "he's always saying things to me about how he's going to fix all of this for you. And how helpless he sometimes feels when you don't even flinch anymore when something hurts you. He doesn't even sleep sometimes, because he knows what's going on with you-"
"Please stop," I breathed, "it's just making me feel worse."
"Sorry," he said quietly, "i just think you should know. Because he thinks your amazing. And he really loves you. So much he..."
Fred trailed off and I looked at him curiously. What did George do that I don't know about?
"Never mind. It's not that important anyways. My point is, he loves you regardless. So if your thinking about how he can love you with those scars, they just make him love you more."
"Your making no sense," I tell him with a small laugh.
          "I have done my job!"
         I started laughing, really confused.
"Come on, we can meet George at the Quidditch field. Let's go see if ikle Ronnikins is a good keeper."

The rest of that day and the next was uneventful. Besides Ron being made keeper, nothing happened.
"I swear to Merlin he's such a prat!" I yelled.
We, meaning Harry, Ron, Hermione, and me, had just read a letter from Percy. And I couldn't believe him. I started pacing in front of the fire, having already completed my homework, thanks to lack of sleep.
"He's a git! He doesn't understand anything! The stupid ministry doesn't have a clue what they're talking about! It's just- dad!"
And there was my dad, well his head, in the fireplace! He was grinning at me.
"I was starting to think you'd all go to bed before everyone else had disappeared."
"Me? Go to bed? What time line are you in right now?" I said jokingly.
Dad laughed, "true, but I've been checking every hour."
"You've been popping into the fire every hour?" Harry asked half laughing.
"Wow you must be desperate to talk to us," I added.
"Hey, can't I want to talk to my favorite kids?"
"I better be at the top of the favorite list," I say in mock warningness.
Dad chuckled and shook his head playfully. Hermione stared saying something about it being a really big risk but we all shot her down. Dad started talking something about a letter from Harry, but my sleep deprived brain couldn't process most of it.
"Karly how are you doing?" Dad asked and I snapped to attention.
"Oh you know, just normal. Nightmares, new scars every day, Draco Malfoy being a git and insulting me, boring school. So the usual," I said in fake cheerfulness.
"Malfoy did what?!" Dad and Harry asked at the same time.
           I shrugged, "it's nothing important-"
"I think it is important! Your my daughter, and I hate when things like this happen to you."
I sighed and quickly told him what happened.
"I'll beat that slimy git-" I cut dad off.
"Your going to do nothing. Because Harry, mom and I don't want you getting chucked back in Azkaban!"
"Karly-"
"No!"
I knew I had a hard look on my face, that probably reminded him of mom when she was angry. That's what Henry told me once. 'Your a black haired version of her when your mad.'
"Okay, I won't do anything. I'll just stay here. I have to go. I can hear Kreature coming. Tell me when your mom finds something for the nightmares. I'll see you guys soon. I love you Karly."
And with that he was gone. I huffed and plopped down on one of the armchairs.
"If he does something stupid, first I'll kill him, and then my mom, and then me again."
