Chapter 3

"Olivia." Elliot whispered trying to get Olivia's attention

"What." She whispered back annoyed that he wouldn't leave her alone

"Can we talk?" He asked

"Why. You weren't interested 5 years ago." Olivia whispered but yelled at the same time

He took and deep breath and looked down and looked back up.

"I'm sorry ok? I couldn't just drop my family for a" He said but stopped short but couldn't say it for a way for it to sound ok

"For what? Huh! A bastard child!" She yelled forgetting that they were in public. She looked around and saw everyone staring at her even the captain came out. She took a deep breath and shook her head.

"Elliot I don't give a damn if you don't want to be in your child's life. Ok? She doesn't need you she has me and her godmother. So screw you, because I didn't ask you to leave your family for us I just wanted you to give a damn." She whispered angry and loud enough for everyone to hear

He looked at her and opened and shut his mouth not knowing what to say.

"Yeah. That's what I thought." She said laughing and walked out grabbing her coat and keys

"I'll be back tomorrow!" She called out

Olivia's house

"Hey! I'm home." Olivia said as she walked into her 2 story house

"Mommy!" Madison or Maddie for short said

"Hi baby!" She said picking her up and giving her a kiss on the cheek

"Maddie? Who are you-Oh Olivia what are you doing home so early?" Her bestfriend Samantha said

She was the average blond girl with pale skin and blue eyes and way to skinny.

"We will talk about it when this stinker goes to bed." Olivia said rubbing Maddison's hair

"I'm not a stinker!" She yelled at her giving her a dirty looked, the same look Olivia gives

"Your right. But your my stinker!" Olivia said squeezing her tight

"Mommy! Put me down." Maddison said

Olivia rolled her eyes and let her down

"Go do your homework." Olivia told her since her daughter was in pre-school and they gave them homework to help them and it was after 6:00pm and she gets out at 5:00

Maddison huffed her breath and walked up the stairs to get her bookbag.

"Watch it!" Olivia yelled up the stairs and walked in the kitchen to see Samantha cooking dinner

"So Liv! Gonna tell me what happened?" Sam said as her back was facing Olivia

"Maddison's father is my partner." Olivia said sighing

"What!" San said finally giving Olivia her undivided attention

Olivia rolls her eyes "Maddison's father is my partner!" She said raising her voice a little

"Omg! Are you ser-" Sam started to say but was cut off

"What about my daddy?" Maddison said

"Damnit." Olivia whispered then turned and picked up her daughter and sat her down on the counter and looked in her blue eyes

"Baby your daddy works with mommy." She told her

"So I'm going to see him!" She asked excitedly

Olivia smiled sadly "I don't think so baby."

"Why? You told me I can see where mommy works." Maddison whispered getting tears in her piercing blue eyes

"I know baby but i didn't know he was gonna be there." She told her hating seeing her daughter upset

"Is he mad at me?" Maddison asked starting to cry

"No baby!" Olivia told her quickly

"It was a hard decision for him to make ok?" Olivia told her gently

"No it wasn't." Sam said

"Samantha!" Olivia yelled

"It was easy either he wanted to be in you life baby or not and he chose not to." Sam said telling her the truth

Olivia looked at her "I can't believe you! Baby go up stairs and I will help you."

"Okay mommy." Maddison obeying her mother feeling the tension rising

"Are you out of your damn mind!" Olivia yelled

"What! All you was doing telling her lies!" Samantha yelled back

"No! I was protecting her!"

"From what?! The truth! She gotta know Liv! She gotta know her father didn't want her ok? She had to accept it and so do you!" Samantha yelled and started to walk away and grabbed her coat after she put on her shoes

"Where are you going?" Olivia asked

"Leaving!" She said then slamming the door shut

Olivia looked at the door and walked in the living room and sat down looking at noting and started to cry silently then started to cry harder and louder.

Why is everything so difficult for me? I try to be and good mother and protect her and my bestfriend thinks I'm making a mistake my doing it. I just don't want her to think it's her fault.

Then she was snapped out of her thoughts by a banging of the door. She got up thinking it was Samantha forgetting her key.

"What did you-"She stopped short and looked who was in front of her

"What the hell are you doing here?" Olivia said the person

"I want to meet my daughter." He simply stated
