Steffy and Liam (Friends or Lover's)?

Chapter Seven

(Steffy's Office at Forrester Creations)

It has been three weeks since Liam came over to Steffy's condo. The pair have become fast friends texting and calling each other on a daily basis. Thomas walks into Steffy's office and starts talking to Steffy about HFTF campaign, but she does not hear him because she is to busy texting with Liam.

Text Message to Liam from Steffy: So when are we going to have our rematch so I can kick your butt in Super Mario Brother's?

Text Message from Liam to Steffy: Soon. I will make sure I bring some tissue's because your going to need it from all the crying your going to be doing when I beat you AGAIN!!!

Steffy: Gasping!!

Thomas: STEFFY!!

Steffy finally looks up and realizes Thomas is in her office.

Steffy: Oh hey Thomas. Sorry I didn't see you.

Thomas: Or hear me.

Steffy looks at her phone & see's that Liam has texted her a message with various silly emoji's and laughs.

Thomas: STEFF! Seriously who are you texting with that is so important that you cannot give me five minutes of your attention.

Steffy: No one. Just a friend.

Thomas: (suspicious) A friend huh.

Steffy: Yes a friend.

Thomas: Girl or guy.

Steffy: Guy.

Thomas rolls his eyes.

Steffy: It's not like that Thomas.

Thomas: Okay who is this guy your texting who is just your friend.

Steffy: Liam Spencer.

Thoms: Liam Spencer? You mean Bill Spencer son?

Steffy: Yup. I met him at the Spencer Publications party about 2 months ago. He's a nice guy. We've become friends.

Thomas: Isn't he Hope's boyfriend.

Steffy: Yea. So?

Thomas gives Steffy a judgmental look.

Steffy: (annoyed) Spit it out Thomas

Thomas: I'm just having a bit of a Deja Vu moment. Reminds me a little bit.....

Steffy: Of when I tried to steal Oliver from Hope. Look Thomas, I'm not proud of my actions back then. Obviously it's hypocritical of me to bad mouth Brooke for doing what she did to our mother for years and then I turn around and do it Hope or anyone else. I don't want to be a vengeful person. Life is to short. I'm not saying I'm going to magically be okay with the Logan's, but I don't have to let the past dictate my future.

Thomas: Wow. That's really mature of you Steff.

Steffy: Thank you.

Thomas: So there is nothing going on between you and Liam?

Steffy: (exasperated) YES!!! He really is just a friend Thomas. Remember when I told you I was having problem's getting my cable and internet hooked up?

Thomas: Yea.

Steffy: Liam was here visiting Hope and we saw each other on his way out. I told him about the whole cable & internet fiasco. Liam is this tech genius, he knew how to do all of that stuff. He came by and got my cable and internet set up at my new condo in no time. Afterwards we hung out and we played video games on our old Nintendo Entertainment System.

Thomas: So you two just hung out and played video games?

Steffy: Yes. I spent a Saturday night at home playing video games with Liam. It was a lot of fun just hanging out talking trash like me and you use to do when we played video games as kids. There was no flirting, no seduction.

Thomas: Wow. Gotta say I'm a little shocked Steffy.

Steffy: Well like I said Thomas., I'm not trying to be that person anymore.

Thomas: Good for you. Look's like my little sister is finally growing up.

Steffy: Ha, Ha. Very funny Thomas. (Steffy sticks her tongue out at her brother)

Thomas: Well it's cool you've made a new friend. So what's the story on $Bill's long lost son Liam/Cooper/ Spencer.

Steffy gave her brother a brief run down on Liam's story.

Thomas: Wow. That's an incredible story. How do you think he is handling being thrust into this new world now that his officially Bill Spencer's son.

Steffy: Pretty well. Even though he did tell me it can be at times a little overwhelming.

Thomas: I bet. Finding out $Bill Spencer's is your father.

Steffy: (laughing) Yea. I get this feeling at times he feel's a little alone.

Thomas: How so?

Steffy: Well like you said, all his life his life he thought he was some else. He was Liam Cooper. A regular guy from the Midwest with his mother and friends. Then one day everything changes. Everything he knew or thought he knew about himself has changed. Yea Liam has this new exciting life with $Bill Spencer as a his father and he has wealth and power and a new girlfriend.

Thomas: Sounds exciting. What guy wouldn't want that?

Steffy: Not many, and I don't think he dislike's it, my gut just tells me at times he probably misses just being Liam Cooper. We talked the other day and I know he really misses he friends from back home and his mother. We grew up in this crazy world of wealth and fame, Liam didn't. We both know he hasn't even experienced all the bad that comes with it.

Thomas: Your definitely right about that. He will never have a private life anymore. Wait to he experience's his first scandal. Photographer's following him wherever he goes.

Steffy: Exactly! It's going to be crazy

Thomas and Steffy talked for a few more minutes before he headed back to the design offices to work on some more sketches. Steffy starts working on some design idea's for the new lingerie line when she get's a text message. It's from Liam

Text message from Liam to Steffy: So what are your plans this weekend? Hitting up any clubs opening's?

Text message from Steffy to Liam: Why do you assume I'm hitting up a club opening? Like all I do is go clubbing.

Text message from Liam to Steffy: There I go assuming.I'm sorry Steffy. And there is nothing wrong with clubbing.

Text message from Steffy to Liam: LOL it's fine. So what do you have going on this weekend. You hanging out with Hope?
