Steffy and Liam (Friends or Lover's)?

Chapter Five

(A month later)

Liam is walking to the photography studio at Forrester Creation's to meet Hope. He is there to take her to lunch. Liam makes it to the studio and there is flurry of activity going on. He eventually spots Hope at one of the make up station's fixing her hair, talking to Oliver.

Liam: Hey Hope.

Liam gives Hope a quick kiss. Oliver is not pleased at what he see's.

Liam: So are you almost ready?

Hope: Ready for what?

Liam: Lunch Hope. Remember I told you yesterday I was going to pick you up and we would have lunch at the Ivy.

Oliver: Sorry Liam, but Hope won't be going with you for lunch today. We have a photo shoot.

Liam: (Irritated) Since when? Hope you told me you didn't have any shoots today.

Hope: I know. I didn't, but some new designs were just completed today for the HFTF line. Oliver thought it would be a good idea to get some test shots with me in the new clothes.

Liam: (threw gritted teeth) Of course he did.

Oliver was about to answer Liam's comment but Hope interrupted. She could clearly pick up on the tension between Liam and Oliver and didn't want them to make a scene.

Hope: Hey Oliver can you give me a few minutes. I just need to talk to Liam.

Oliver: Sure Hope.

Oliver and Liam scowl at each other as Oliver walks away.

Hope turns to Liam.

Hope: Liam I'm so sorry. I totally forgot to call you and tell you about the scheduling change.

Liam: It's okay Hope. I know you cannot help a scheduling. I just would be lying if I said I felt comfortable about you working so closely with your ex-boyfriend.

Hope: I understand, but me and Oliver are just friends and work colleagues.

Liam: I know. I just wonder if Oliver knows that.

Hope: He does. Hey I'm sorry about having to cancel our lunch plans. I will make it up to you soon. I gotta go finish getting ready. Call me later?

Liam: Yea.

Hope gives Liam a quick kiss and then heads off to wardrobe. Liam leaves the photography studio. Liam is walking down the hallway when he hears a familiar voice coming from a open office door.

Female Voice: (Frustrated) Damit. What am I going to do now?

Liam stops in front of the open office door when he hears Steffy Forrester's voice. Liam walks over to Steffy's office door and knocks on the door.

Liam: Steffy? Everything Okay

Steffy was extremely frustrated after her phone call, but when she looked up from her cell phone she is pleasantly surprised to see Liam Spencer standing at her office door.

Steffy (Smiling) Hey Liam. What are you doing here?

Liam: I was here to take Hope to lunch, but she had to cancel. Last minute HFTF photo shoot.

Steffy: Ahh

Liam: Hey if you don't mind me asking, is everything okay? You seemed pretty upset after your phone call.

Steffy waved Liam into her office.

Steffy: I just bought my first home.

Liam: Congratulations!

Steffy: Thank you. I'm very excited about it. I've almost have everything taken care of as far as my move in. I just have been having a hell of a time trying to get my cable and internet set up. The company has called and cancelled on me at least 3 times in the last 2 weeks.

Liam: Wow. That has to be frustrating.

Steffy: It is. This is the only thing I need to have taken care of to make my move complete. Sometimes I work from home. Not the easiest thing to do when you don't have internet.

Liam: Hey, if you need someone to set up your cable and internet I could do that for you.

Steffy: (shocked) You can do that?

Liam: Um yea. Steffy remember I'm the ex-computer tech guy who helped fix your busted laptop. Assuming all of your wiring is set up properly, I can have your cable and internet set up in less than thirty minutes. Just let me know what times good and I can come over and get you set up.

Steffy: How about tomorrow?

Liam: Done.

Steffy was so excited. She pulled Liam in for a big hug

Steffy: Oh my God Liam. You are the best. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

Liam: (laughing) No problem. Glad I can help.

Steffy released Liam and looked in his eyes. For a few seconds they just stared at each other, smiling. Steffy hadn't ever really noticed it but when Liam smiled he got these little creases by his eyes. It was kind of cute. Steffy was the first to break the silence.

Steffy: So I guess I'm going to need your phone number?

Liam couldn't believe Steffy was asking him for his phone number. Why would a woman as beautiful as Steffy want his phone number?

Liam:( surprised) You want my phone number?

Steffy: (laughing) Yes Liam. So you I can call you tomorrow to set up a time for you to come over to set up the cable and internet.

Liam: (laughing nervously) Oh yea.

Steffy opened up her contacts in her cell phone and when she was ready Liam gave her his cell phone number. Steffy sent a quick text and Liam pulled out his cell phone and saved Steffy's number in his phone.

Steffy: Well it looks like we are all set. I will give you a call tomorrow?

Liam: Yea. Looking forward to it. I'm going to head out now. Gotta get back to work.

Steffy: Okay I will see you tomorrow.

Liam: See you tomorrow.

Liam walked out of Steffy's office in a daze. Did that just happen? Was he really going over to Steffy Forrester's place tomorrow to hang out? Wait, he wasn't hanging out with Steffy. He was just doing her a favor. This was no big deal. Right?
