Quitting

Raven felt something.
It was strange, and at first she didn't realize what it was. Then she did.
Damian.
He had just made his first kill in a long time.
Raven suddenly felt dizzy and laid back down; she had been looking out the window.
She wondered why they had brought her it a hospital.
They didn't deal with magical things, including half-demon problems.
She knew nothing was wrong. They probably just panicked and didn't know what to do.
After all, Kori and Victor had gone out on a mission, so it was just her, Garfield, and Jaime.
She stood up and held her hands out to her sides. They were covered in her dark magic.
She used that to swap out her hospital gown for her normal outfit.
After doing so, she created a portal that led home.
The boys were surprised to see her home.
"What the heck," Garfield yelled. "You're supposed to be at the hospital!"
     Raven stared at the two.
"And you two shouldn't overreact to things like that."
She left them and went to her room.

     Damian couldn't take this anymore.
After all he'd been taught by his father, now he's expected to go back to being an assassin?
It just doesn't make sense, Damian told himself. I mean, the League of Assassins isn't that big of a threat, are they?
He decided to do something that his father would... actually, he didn't exactly know how to put into words what would happen.
     He was quitting his mission.
Damian quickly began gathering his belongings, slung the bag they were kept in over his shoulder, and went to the window.
He opened it and looked down.
Where he was, he should land on soft grass. This was the perfect spot.
He jumped and landed with a soft thud and quickly got back up, running at full speed away from there.
After running about a mile, he stopped and took his bag off his shoulder, opening it.
He reached in and found what he wanted on top.
He quickly slid off his League of Assassins uniform and changed into his Robin suit, ready to fight whatever was out there.
After cluelessly wandering around for a while, he pulled out his communicator and contacted Raven.
"Hello?" he heard. "Damian, what are you doing?"
"Look, I need you to create a portal here."
He could tell she didn't want to.
"Damian, I can't," she told him. "Batman would kill me. Hu do you want to come back, anyways?"
Damian didn't feel like telling this to anyone, even Raven.
"I—" he stuttered. "I'm quitting this mission," he said.
She didn't even have to say anything.
"It's just, the only way to disband the League is to kill them all, and—"
"Wait," Raven interrupted.
Crap, Damian thought.
"He wants you to disband the League?" she continued. "No wonder you want back. Hold on, I'll get you back."
A few minutes later, Damian saw a portal in front of him, and he entered without hesitation.
When he emerged on the other side, he was in Raven's room.
Before he could say anything, he was being hugged tightly by Raven.
"Why didn't you tell me that's what he wanted?" she shed him.
Finally, Damian pushed Raven off and sighed.
"I knew that if I told you, you would get in a fight with Father, and I wasn't doing that."
She seemed to agree, and for a while it was silent.
"I'm going to my room now," he told Raven. "I'm going by the window so that those two (he gestured to the door) don't hear me."
She smiled and nodded, giving Damian another quick kiss in the cheek.
Without her seeing, as he walked to the window and opened it, Damian smiled.
He then climbed out the window and quickly ran up to his room. (Yes, Damian is awesome enough to do a wall run).
When he got to his room, he went straight to bed.
It had been a long day.
