Love or hate?( A difficult choice)

Chapter 16

I was sitting in the garden with Thomas, enjoying the sun. "I am getting bored out of my mind, there is nothing to do. At least the classes with Lisa kept me busy".

"You don't have to do anything just relax and feel like a princess. You can always order people around, go shopping or go for a spa or even get a makeover. Every girl around here wants to be in your place and you are complaining about having to do nothing."

"I am not like the other girls then."

"Yeah, you are not. Any ways what do you want to do tell me and I will arrange it for you."

"I don't think you can."

"Why do you say that tell me what you want, your wish is my command Madame."

I wish he could but I know he can't I will have to talk to Darmen about it. I just hope he agrees, I really want this, I have been thinking about it since our dinner date, I don't know what he meant by what he said about me finding what I want here so I have decided to stop thinking about it, I just hope he gives me what I want.

A maid's voice brought me out of my thoughts "Madame, master is asking for your presence at the breakfast table". I get up from where I have been sitting to follow her inside. This has become a daily habit for Darmen to wait for me on the breakfast table, this is the only time when I see him. Thomas says he is busy attending meetings and business dinners otherwise. I don't know what to believe.

I enter the dinning room and take my place near Darmen, he looks at me then at Thomas and then back at him, but does not say anything. I open my mouth to ask him but he beats me to it, "Thomas have you made all the arrangements for my departure". I look up at Thomas confused and see him nodding at Darmen. I look back at Darmen and ask "where are you going?"

He looks into my eyes for a few seconds then go back to his food " I have some work in Chicago so will be there for a week."

"What? But you did not say anything yesterday, and you are going for a week what am I supposed to do here all alone."

He looked up at me with a frown on his face,"you are not going to be alone Thomas here has made arrangements, don't worry." He is an idiot, leaving me here with some strangers fine let him go I don't care with that thought I left the room and went to mine.

I am so angry how could he leave me here and go for a week. I picked up the pillow and threw it at the wall. Why do I care so much he can go to hell. I went into the bathroom and closed the door loudly and sat on the pot, I was behaving like a child I know but I can't help it.

Knock, knock " Ava, are you inside there"

"Go away, go to your trip I don't care and I don't want to talk to you Darmen". I am so mad at him how can he leave me here.

"Just come out right now, what is your problem".There was a loud bang on the door,Darmen is getting angrier with each bang. "Ava, I am asking you last time if you do not open the door God forbid Ava I will do something you won't like. This does not sound good.

I very slowly open the door but it is pushed open with so much force, almost throwing me into the wall. In an instant Darmen's body was against mine "what was that about if you are so unhappy by the idea of going with me on rhe trip you don't have to come.. Stay here and enjoy yourself with the maids and ofcourse Thomas". With that he turned leaving me astounded. He wants to take me with him. He is taking me with him. Shit! I have to say something and say it fast cmon Ava anything he is leaving.

" I want to go with you I was mad because I thought you are leaving me here alone please don't be mad I really want to go too Darmen". As soon as his name came out of my mouth I realised that I was almost begging for him to take me, great I sound like an idiot when I am a blabbering mess.

He turned and very slowly walked towards me like a predator, there was a triumphant look on his face with a glint in his eyes exactly opposite of the hurt and anger I saw a few minutes ago.

He kept coming closer I tried to move away but soon found the wall behind me. He put both his hands on either side of my head on the wall trapping me and bent close his lips inches from mine, I was breathing so hard I could here my own heart hammering in my chest. His lips moved closer almost brushing my lips but he stopped at the last instance and very slowly passed then towards my jaw and then to my ear "so you want to go with me, good to know" he whispered ever so softly his feather like touch made me shiver involuntarily "you will enjoy this trip I promise". He lightly nipped my ear making me gasp. He gave me a lopsided smile and then he was gone leaving my paralysed form standing there in shock.

The maids came in to pack my bags I put all the clothes I shopped with Demona, my cosmetics which were not much and after some more stuffing I was ready to go. I am excited about this trip I don't know why may be because its the first time I am going out of the country or going anywhere at all for that matter.

"It's time to go Madame, Master is waiting for you". The servant who came to inform me took my bags and started walking towards the main hall. I followed him in there to find Darmen waiting for me with Thomas and some other men talking.

He gave me a look and then went back to talking with his men "okay, take care of everything here, contact me if you absolutely need me, don't bother me for petty things. Thomas is here to help you". The men nodded at him and bowed their head in respect. He then turned to Thomas "I am leaving you in charge, be careful".

"I will not let you down Master, you take care and enjoy yourself" he looked at me for a moment and then back at Darmen "please be good". Darmen gave him a hard expression but said nothing.

"C'mon lets go we are getting late". Darmen told me. I started walking towards him but stopped in front of Thomas "you are not coming with us I thought you will, please come". I said in a pleading tone.

"I can't I have to take care of things here, you go and enjoy yourself I am sure you will be fine, now go he is waiting for you".

"I will miss you, I wish you could come with us, take care". I gave him a big hug to prove my point. "Bye Thomas". With that I turned to Darmen and saw an unreadable expression on his face. He turned and started walking towards the door without a word God he is so moody. I followed him quickly and sat in the car waiting for us. Darmen was already inside.

"Drive", Darmen ordered. As the limo started I looked at him sitting with a frown on his face. I just don't understand he was fine a few minutes ago.

"What's wrong you look upset". He did not reply but kept staring at me, like he really wants to say something. When I raised my eyebrow in question, came his harsh reply "nothing you need to care about", with that he turned away

I rolled my eyes at his attitude here we go again, this is definitely going to be an interesting trip.
