Love or hate?( A difficult choice)

Chapter 3

The next week passes by quickly and it was Friday already. I went to the cafe as usual but it was quiet today. I finished my work faster than daily and went to the library in college. I love reading but lately I have been really busy to spend any time in here. I selected a Daniel Steel book and sat down to read.

"Hey I knew you would be here, I have a great news we are going to a party tonight" Amanda whisper yelled in excitement.

"Party? Wh

"It's at Kevin's friend's house. Him and I are going and you are coming with us.

"I..I..umm I can't I have to go to work, I said pretending to be disappointed. I have never been to a party but heard a lot
about drunken girls and boys making out everywhere. I hate these parties. I was really happy about my job today after all it saved me from this stupid idea of a party.

"Oh no no no, we are going after your work. I will come over your place and we will get ready there. And yes, I will get you a sexy dress. You are gonna look hot tonight girl. She said smiling mysteriously. Shit I knew I celebrated too early now I had nothing else to say, it's not like I have any social life. I am REALLY STUCK NOW. I slumped down on my seat and sighed knowing full well that it's gonna be a long and eventfull night.

The day passed in a blur with me attending classes and work. I was now waiting at home for Amanda to arrive. A knock just then sounded on the door and I got up to open it. Amanda was standing there with her hands full of packets of various kind. She went straight to my room and dumped everything there. She then turned to me with a huge smile on her face and instantly ordered me to sit down so she can do my hair. " what are you doing, at least let me see my dress.

Oh no you are not allowed to see before you put it on". She started curling my long black hair leaving them down to flow naturally. After half an hour of me fidgeting and her scolding me my hair was done. She then begun with my makeup, putting black eyeliner to bring out my dark brown eyes. She put some eye shadow and blusher on my cheeks, she then put light pink lipgloss and admired her work. "Perfect"! She then took out a beautiful deep green dress with a V-cut neckline, it was shimmery all over but still elegant. She helped me in putting it on and slowly turned me around towards the mirror.

I gasped loudly "WOW, she is beautiful". The dress was perfectly complementing the makeup and brought out my features. It reached my mid thigh hugging me at all the right places showing my curves. Amanda clapped her hands jumping up and down like a child "You look hot. Really HOT. All the boys are going to want you." Oh shit! It's already nine thirty, Kevin will be here soon. She got ready quickly in her black halter neck dress. It was just above her knees and made her look elegant and smart. "You look beautiful Amanda.

"Thank you", she said smiling broadly.

Just then a car's honk sounded both of us quickly took our clutches, I Amanda's was black and mine was green, she took the liberty of matching those. She also gave me black heels to go with the dress and she wore a red one.which matched her accessories. We made our way outside and Kevin was waiting in his black BMW, wow how many cars does he have? As we got in, Kevin whistled "my my girls both of you look hot, I will have to fight the boys away". He turned to me staring from top to bottom and sighed"it's going to be a rough night". What was that, do I not look nice, Amanda said I do though. And I am sure I do too, let him think whatever he wants to. I shrugged the comment off and focused my attention on the task in hand.

I have decided to make sure I don't drink, dance with creepy boys,not to go to toilet alone and always at all costs bearound Amanda or Kevin. I was determined to follow these rules. I was sure this will keep me safe and help to cope with this dreadful night.
