The tour continued, we moved on, city to city. We were nearing the end of the tour, having only three more stops, we were in Anaheim, California. This was our last break stop. We were to stay here for three days.
Andy and I had not had any problems, but he was constantly texting the girl from the St. Louis show, but it didn't bother me because it was me he was kissing.
We were getting ready for our arrival in Anaheim, we were arriving a day earlier than the show. I had my tight leather vest that show off my cleavage and mid section with tight skinny jeans and combat boots. Since the beginning of tour, I had accumulated a few piercing. I now had snake bites, a dermal by my eye, two cartilage piercings, and my nose pierced. It was almost a lifestyle.
We had arrived at our hotel and took a minute to get checked in and to throw our stuff in our rooms. Andy and I got a room to ourselves, after laying our stuff on the bed, Andy grabbed my waist and kissed me, I kissed him back and we stood like this for a few seconds. He pulled back, but not withdrawing his hands from my waist.
"What are your thoughts on getting a tattoo?"
I smiled, "What do you have in mind?"
"I was thinking couple tattoos."
I thought for a moment, this'd be my first tattoo, but if it was to be with anybody else, I'd rather it be with him. "Yes!"
He smiled, and pulled a piece of paper that had been folded one to many times. He handed it to me, "I had an idea, and I scribbled it. I already called the parlor, and they said come on in if you wanted to. It's just an idea, if you don't like it, we can always change it. Its not permanent...yet."
I scanned the picture, "It's perfect." I smiled.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me out the door, "Good, because our appointment is in 10 minutes."
We rushed down the hall and waited impatiantly as the elevator took its time. Getting fed up, we ran down 4 flights of stairs, ran out the door, and got in our rental. We drove to Sunset Strip, where the tattoo parlor was. We opened the door and told the secretary we were there for an appointment. She hollered at a man named "Paul". A burly man covered in tattoos stood up and shook Andy's hand.
"I'm Paul and somewhere is my partner Meaghan. We'll be tattooing you guys. Do you have an idea of what you want?"
Andy pulled the paper out and handed it to Paul and he looked it over and nodded, "Original idea. I like it. I'm going back in the back to sketch it up, you can take a seat at those two stations over there. Meaghan should be ot in a minute."
The man left us and we took our seats in the chairs. We talked, Andy just to ease my nerves. "Don't worry, Scarlette. It'll be fine, don't worry. It doesn't hurt that bad." he rubbed my arm.
Meaghan, I assume, came out and greeted us and started prepping both her and Paul's station. Paul came out and placed the transfer on our arms. We looked at it in the mirror, and agreed to it. Suddenly, the buzz of the gun filled my ears. Meaghan was doing mime, she put on her gloves and started. It hurt at first, but eventually my endorphins kicked in and it didn't hurt as bad. Andy's tattoo was further along than my own.
Finally, it was over. The clean solution was applied and we looked at it again in the mirror. Now permanent.
I permanently had: His Cigarette. His Alcohol. Eachothers dreams. Andy had: Her Cigarette. Her Alcohol. Eachothers dreams. I couldn't of thought of a better tattoo.
We payed, and were bandaged. We stepped outside, crossing the street to the car. It was late, approxiametly 8 o' clock, the street lamps were just coming on. We decided to go for a walk, no need to rush back to the hotel.
We walked, I don't know how far. We had turned on to a street, one that was empty of people. The only thing that illuminate it was the lamps, and they didn't do much. We were walking hand in hand, when all of a sudden, two men jumped out, grabbing me and Andy.
"Gives us whatever you got!" the man with Andy yelled, looking us up and down, then adding, "freaks."
I pleaded, "Please, we don't have anything. Just let us go."
The man holding me chuckled, "Please dolly, you've got something you can give us." He was obviously talking about sex, and that was not going to happen. I felt a cold gun be pressed to my head. "You do what we say, or we'll blow your brains out."
Andy struggled, "Leave her alone! Don't hurt her. Hurt me, please. Look, I got money. About 300 in cash on me. Take it, just leave her alone!"
The men looked at eachother, then smiled a cruel grin. "You strike up a tempting deal, freak. I think your girl here is worth more than 300. Look at her body." he ran his hand down my side, which made me want to puke.
Andy started shaking, "Let her go!" and broke free of his captor's grip. He lunged at the man holding me, and the man fired a bullet in Andy's direction.
The bullet his Andy's leg. He crumpled in pain. Laying on his back, holding his lower leg. The men ran, I guess they couldn't believe they actually shot somebody.
I crawled over to Andy, "Andy! Andy! I'm calling an ambulance. Andy," his eyes were drifting, I slapped him lightly, "stay with me. Stay with me!" i was crying, I dialled the emergency number and was assured that an ambulance was on the way. I looked down and Andy had his eyes closed, I slapped him again, his eyes parted a little bit, "Stay awake. Stay with me."
He looke directly at me, with parted eyes, "Always."
I cried, pressing my hand against the bullet wound, since Andy had passed out with pain. I had my head on his chest, just so I could here is heart to assure that he was still alive.
I heard the sirens in the distance, or maybe closer, I don't know, I lost all my bearings. All my self-being was forced into keeping Andy alive, like if I didn't, he'd die. The EMS had to pry me off of him in order to get Andy on the stretcher. They got him in and pulled me up. They mainly focused on Andy but on of them shined I light in my eye to check my vitals. The last thing I remember was hearing Andy's heart monitor, lightly beeping. The only thing keeping me alive.
