The last few days home flew by. It was a rush of packing and pre tour jitters. Besides Andy being mine, this was the best thing in the world. Today was the day.
We were waiting at Andy's house, bags on top of bags on top of bags, all waiting for the bus. We all kept peeking out the windows, anxious for the bus to arrive. It was a bus full of dreams. The whole time, we were laughing and joking and discussing what its going to be like on tour, while Mrs. Biersack was taking pictures of everybody, especially of me and Andy.
Andy had his arm wrapped around me and his knees cross, tapping his foot impatiently. I turned around slightly and bended the blinds down. I saw a wide bus rumbling down the street, and my heart beated erratically.
"Guys! Guys! The bus is here!" Everybody got up and looked outside and once they saw it, they started whooping and hollering.
Chris and Amy helped us with our luggage, and joked about being the first papparazzi attack while taking pictures. We all posed rediculously for them, the guys flexing their non exsistant muscle or giving my bunny ears.
The guys all piled onto the bus, but Andy and I stayed behind to give Chris and Amy hugs before leaving. Amy pushed us together, "I want one of just you two." I blushed hard and Andy tilted my head up, and looked deep into my eyes. He was mine. It was just us. Looking into his eyes, the pre tour jitters calmed and my heart slowed, as if we were all that was left in the universe. A flash of light broke us from this trance and Amy awed at the picture. "You guys look so in love in this picture." We gave them one last hug and climbed onto the bus.
We climbed on to see that the guys had already made it like home.
Ashley nudged me, "We figured that we'd give you and Andy the back two bunks. There's nobody above or below either of you guys. I'm infront of you, Jake's under me. CC's infront of Andy, and Jinxx is under him. You're part of this family now. We are your brothers never forget that." he hugged me tight, "and since I'm your brother" he rubbed his knuckle on my head.
Of course he had to ruin a touching moment, "Ashley, Ashley! Stop! Oh my gosh, really? We haven't been on this bus for ten minutes, this is going to be a long tour." I looked at Ashley and he was grinning.
Andy had gone to sit up front and talk to the bus driver, so I was stuck with four boys. CC was drinking whisky, and Ashley was throwing pretzels at Jake. Jinxx was doing something at the kitchenette. I scooted past Jinxx and walked to were the bunks were. Everybody had just thrown their stuff on their bed, but, since I had the time, I started unloading my stuff. I pulled open the drawer underneath my bunk and started laying my clothes in it.
I was about half way through, when I felt hands being placed on my hips. I shouldn't of been, but I was surprised and spun around to see who it was. Andy once again, grabbed me by my hips. "Are you ready for the start of your life with five crazy kids and one tour bus with nothing but dreams, alcohol, and cigarettes?"
I batted my eyelashes, and kissed him. "Anywhere that you are, is the place I want to be. We chase these dreams, and drink this alcohol, and smoke these cigarettes together." Andy grabbed my hand and led me out to where everybody else was.
When we parted the curtain, everybody stopped what they were doing and stared at us. Jinxx smiled and yelled, "Get some!"
Andy blushed and I grabbed the towel off the kitchenette counter and chucked it at him. It him square in the face. "Oh its on sister!"
The next hour was a flurry of pillows and towels being thrown around. Laughter filled the air.
Deciding that I need a break and to see sunlight, I crawled up into the seat next to the bus driver.
The bus driver was a man of about thirty-five and a warm face. Seeing me sitting in the seat, he nodded his head and said, "M'name's Hector."
I smiled and replied, "Scarlette."
We sat in silence and I just watched the highway go by. Finally I asked, "Hector, when's our first stop?"
He smiled and said, "Well, put it this way, if you're going to be lookin' all fancy and whatnot, I suggest you better start hurryin'. First stop is Cincinnatti. You've got an hour. Your manager will be there already."
Hearing that I better start getting ready, I climbed back to the main part of the bus. The guys were already in a flurry of getting ready. I ran to my bunk and dug through my half empty bag. I decided to wear my tight leather pants and a vest that buttoned up so that your mid section was showing off. I stepped into the bathroom and change quickly. I started applying my warpaint, even though I wasn't going on stage, I still have to look the part. Andy came up beside me, ready to rock n' roll. He took the make up from my hand and started doing it for me. When he was done adding the stitches and the various other deformities. He smeared black paint on pretty much any exposed flesh. Then he took amd eyeliner pencil and made a heart at the corner of my eye. He kissed it and whisper in my ear, "my girl".
I fluffed up my hair, hairsprayed it, and the fluffed it up some more. I pulle on my knee high combat styled boots and went to join the guys on the couch.
They were all talking about this being their first show on tour and how wonderous its going to be. Before we knew it, Jon, the manager, was rushing us to backstage. The doors had already been open and the guys were meeting with some of them. Out front you could hear the crowd chanting "Black Veil Brides! Black Veil Brides!"
Jon started pushing the guys on stage. I sat, side stage and watched as Andy greeted the screaming fans. He was keeping a good steady flow on working them up and pumping them up. They started off with "We Stitch These Wounds" which of course sent everybody into a headbanging, screaming, singing frenzy. Each song, Andy would pump them up more and more.
It was the end of the show, the last song on the set. Andy started talking, "Guys, we've had a pumped up show, but I'm going to slow it down a little bit. Now all through my life, I've been called a freak because how I looked wasn't right. Well, fuck them. Who's on a stage now?! But all through my life, I was constantly tormented for my opinions and interests, but one special girl has always been there. Recently, I haven't been calling her my friend, she's not that to me anymore. How could I stand being friends with her," the crowd was deeply confused, "no, instead of friend, I've been calling her my girlfriend. Scarlette," he said speaking to me, but through the mic, "join me up here." I stood up and walked on stage. Some of the girls in the crowd got disgusted looks on their faces, but most of them cheered. I smiled and looked at Andy, he was my security. He held me hand, "Scarlette, I wrote this song for you."
Andy started singing "The Mortician's Daughter", a song I knew by heart, but never knew if was about me. I was humming, and seeing it, Jon brought me out a mic. Andy smiled when I turned on the mic and started singing with him. The crowd went nuts.
We finished the song and said our goodbyes. We met with some more fans, who not only wanted to meet the guys, but wanted to meet me too. It was a good feeling, hearing all their compliments.
Jon then lead us back to our bus, where a few of the smart fans were waiting. We took pictures and signed merchandise and exchanged hugs. Finally, making it onto the bus, we were all tired, and after stripping off show clothes and make up we layed in our bunks. We talked more, and one by one, everybody fell asleep. Andy and I were the only ones awake, we were to tired to say anything, so we reached our hands out, our fingers barely touching, and feel asleep, just like that.
