Feeling as light as a feather, Mathias opened his eyes, the air caressing his face as he continues his run into the void. But when he looks below him, a horrifying spectacle before his eyes: the city of Paris, view from the sky, ravaged by war. The buildings on fire, devastated streets, explosions and gunfire noises everywhere, screams echoing in the air, and in the sky, the airships of Comstock, destroying everything in their path. The air is stale, filled a burning smell, a smell of blood and death. The Eiffel Tower crumbles into pieces, in a slow and horrible crash, under the terrified gaze of Mathias, who does not understand what is happening, until familiar voices pulled him out of this dream ....

(Robert Lutece): "Longer is the path, harder will be the fall."

(Rosalind Lutece): "It's undeniable. If only humans could learn to fly, it would solve the problem."

(Robert Lutece): "But flying is not the only way to find freedom."

(Rosalind Lutece): "Just know where to look."

These familiar voices resounded near Mathias, still eyes closed, feeling under his back fresh grass. When he opened his eyes halfway, with blurred view, he thought he saw this strange couple, always well dressed and standing upright, leaning toward him, watching him with their neutral faces and malignant eyes. But when he blinked, the couple had magically disappeared again. Mathias does not know if it was a hallucination or not, but in any case he is alive. The young man felt a sharp pain in the head and is recovering slowly, noting that he is in a kind of large grassy plain lost in the sky. Twilight is about to fall, the sky slowly filled with a pleasant reddish orange glow. And looking around, Mathias saw Elizabeth, lying at few meters from him, unconscious. Worried, Mathias straightens on his feet and rushes to her, kneeling in the grass and carefully, takes her in his arms. His anxiety decreases when he notices she still breathes.

(Mathias): "Elizabeth?! Elizabeth?! Can you hear me?"

A moan from the woman reassured him gently, she opened her eyes, seeing the face of Mathias at first.

(Elizabeth): "Mmmmm .... Mathias .... What happened?"

(Mathias): "I was going to ask you."

He helped her to get up, by supporting her with arms, and gave her a moment to regain her senses. On her feet, she felt a sharp stinging pain in her hands, as if they had been in a boiler. Elizabeth could see her hands still surrounded by a few filaments of this strange blue energy. Mathias recognized this form of magic and remember when he saw Elizabeth used it to launch wood boxes came from nowhere on the prison guards. Confused, Elizabeth looks at his hands.

(Elizabeth): "I .... I remember Songbird ..... And ..... My hands ..... I think it's my fault..."

(Mathias): "What?"

(Elizabeth): "This is going to sound strange for you, but this power that I hold, allows me to open doors towards other places, or even other worlds. In the fear I felt face Songbird, I maybe opened a loophole inadvertently who took us to a safe place away from Columbia."

(Mathias): "Uh ..... Are you serious?" he asked, scratching his head.

(Elizabeth): "I know it looks completely impossible, but yet I could see things through these doors.... These doors have allowed me somehow to not going insane and loneliness during the years I spent in my tower. I don't know if it is a gift or a curse, impossible or not, the facts are there."

(Mathias): "But, you mean ..... That there are parallel worlds to ours?"

(Elizabeth): "I do not have all the answers, but after all, there is still so much to discover in the world..... I don't know what awaits us down the road."
