Chapter Eight
Rosie's pov

A week later

"Ro! We have some news for you!" I hear mom yell from the kitchen.

My feet clammer down the stairs as I go downstairs to hear the news. I see that dad is FaceTiming Harvey on the Mac.

"Harvey!" I say as I see him.
"Hey Rose." Harvey smiles. "I've got a present for you!"
"Okaaayyyy?" I say suspiciously.
"Mum 'll give it to you so sit down on a chair and close your eyes and hold your hands out." Harvey instructs.

I do as he says and then I feel a light piece of paper land on my hands.
"Open your eyes, Rosie!" Dad says.

I squeal as I open my eyes to see a ticket to America. Is this what Brennan was talking about?
"Ohmygod!" Is all I can say. "Th- thank you! ...who bought this?" I ask.

"Your brother has been saving up." Mum explains.
"Harvey?" I say.
"He's your only brother, sweetheart." Dad chuckles.
"Thank you so much!" I squeal.
"No problem, I missed you too much." Harvey is smiling from ear to ear. "You'll be leaving in three days and miss two weeks of school, but I think that'll be ok because your grades look pretty good.
"Of course it'll be ok!" I joke.
Harvey laughs and says, "I think it's time you guys all me the Donnellys, amirite?" Harvey asks.
"We'd love to." Mom smiles.

"Ok guys!" Harvey yells over his shoulder and I hear a door open and out comes Brennan. He sees me and winks, hoping that nobody else saw that. Then comes out his dad, mom, sister, and brother. Keep in mind that this is through FaceTime, so it's pretty awkward to be honest haha.

We all introduce ourselves, and then we talk for a bit.
