Summer's Song Chapt.20

"I hate the rain" Kayla pouted. "What should we do today?" V asked. "Well we could do karaoke again" Avril smiled. "Oo Ash is home this time, too!" Angel squealed. "Alright who's going to sing?" Joe asked. "I nominate Britt" Lucy and Alex yelled. "Are you kidding me?!" I blushed. "I will" Jeremy smiled. "I say Ashlee sings too" I laughed. "You would" Ashlee smirked. "That means Britt, Jeremy, Ash and Hunter are up" Carlos said. "Who's first?" Tria smiled. "I'll get it over with" I laughed.

"I'm going to do um Dirt Road Anthem by Jason Aldean" I smiled. The girls whistled. The music started.

Yeah, I'm chillin' on a dirt road, Laid back swervin' like I'm George Jones. Smoke rollin' out the window, An' ice cold beer sittin' in the console. Memory lane up in the headlights, It's got me reminiscing on them good times. I'm turning off of real life, drivin' that's right, I'm hittin' easy street on mud tires.

Back in the day Pott's farm was the place to go. Load the truck up, hit the dirt road. Jump the barbwire, spread the word. Light the bonfire, then call the girls.The king in the can and the Marlboro man. Jack'n'Jim were a few good men. Where ya learned how to kiss and cuss and fight too. Better watch out for the boys in blue.

"Now was that so bad?" Christoph hugged me. I blushed. "Who's next?" Tom looked at the other three. "I'll go dude" Hunter stood up. "What song Hunt?" he asked. "My own. Somebody's Heartbreak" he sighed.

Everyone was quiet. "You okay dude?" Kennedy asked. Hunter nodded. I looked at him worried. Ashlee was a little upset. "I'm going next y'all" Jeremy spoke up. "What song mate?" Tom asked. "I Like It Like That by Hot Chelle Rae" he smiled.

"I love this song" Maribelle smiled. "Jeremy's voice is so amazing" Leisa whispered.

"Glad y'all liked it" Jeremy smirked. The girls blushed. "Ash, you're next" Travis smiled at her. She stood up. "Song sweetheart?" Tom smiled. "Warzone by The Wanted" Ashlee said, The music started.

"You are so freaking good!" Garrett walked over to her. "She sure is" Hunter looked at her. "Thanks y'all" she half-smiled. "What should we do now?" Nora asked. "Well it stopped raining" Richie looked out the window. "Come on let's go outside" Ashley smiled. "Can we take Ryan?" Dougie asked looking at him. "Sure. Just be careful Dougie" I smiled. "I'll be careful" he picked up Ryan. "We'll be out there don't worry" Vanessa laughed. "Aren't you coming?" Harry asked. "I'll be out in a minute" I said.

I walked back into the livingroom. "Hey Ash. you okay?" I sat down. She shrugged. "Is it Hunter?" I sighed. "Yeah pretty much" she sniffed. "I don't know what's been wrong with him" I shook my head. "I feel like he doesn't trust me. He's become so distant with me" Ashlee looked up at me. "Now you know that he loves you" I hugged her. "I'm scared..." she started. "Scared of what?" I looked at her. "That's he's going to break up with me" she cried. I didn't know what else to do but hold her and let her cry.

*an hour later*

Everyone is running around the yard. We hear arguing going on inside the house. Ashlee had never come out. Hunter must be in there with her... "Is that Ashlee and Hunter?" Dominique frowned. "I think it is..." Danny sighed. "Hunter isn't the same and hasn't been lately" Alex shook her head. Everyone nodded. Hunter comes stomping out the door. "What happened?" V asked. "We're over, I can tell you that much" he said. I ran into the house.

"Are you okay?" I ran over to her. "No" Ashlee cried. "Angel get in here" I yelled. "You'll be okay my love" Angel ran to her. "He's got some damn explaining to do" I fussed. I marched out there, grabbed him by the arm, and went to the garage. "What has been wrong with you, Hunter?" I looked at him. "It's nothing" Hunter shook his head. "If it's nothing then why is she in there crying her eyes out again?" I asked. "I don't wanna talk about it, okay?" he raised his voice and walked away.

"You okay Britt?" Christoph asked. "No, will you please talk to him?" I begged through the tears. "It'll do no good" "You're the only one he tell things to anymore" I sighed. "Okay I'll try" he hugged me. "Thanks babe" I kissed him.

*15 minutes later*

"How did it go?" I asked. "It went pretty okay" Chris hugged me from behind. "Did he say why he's been do distant?" I turned around. "He's afraid if he gets to close that he'll lose her" he smiled. "Aw Hunt" I sighed. "Look" he pointed. Hunter walked up to Ashlee. He was trying to talk to her, but she was too hurt. She started crying and went to her room. I looked at Chris worried. He shook his head and smiled. There was Hunter chasing her up the stairs trying to stop her.
