Chapter 21

Comet's POV

" Well, here it is.." I sighed loudly, looking up at the tall building. " Looks like brand new."

Comet? Why are we here? Draco asked confused. I smiled at him.

" Well, I think it's time we can clean with Akiza's folks.." I grin walking up to the front door.

*knock, knock*

The door opened, and a woman with red hair, like Akiza's opens it. " Hello, young man can I help you?" she asked.

I sigh, and look at her. " You may not know me, but we did have a small falling out around last year.." I sighed.

" What do you mean?" she asked, more confused now.

" My name is Comet Galelli, and I'm close friends with your daughter Akiza.."

Her eyes opened wider. " You know my daughter, my precious little Rose!" she gasped. I nodded my head. " Then please do come in.."

Mrs. Izinski lead me into her home, and sat me down on one of the chairs. " So what do you know of my daughter?" she asked.

I looked at her, and begin to tell her about how we met in Duel Academy, but left out the part where she nearly killed me. Then I tell her how we came here to try to help Akiza and her to reconnect, but we all know how that ended up. Then from there I explain about Sayer, and what he did to Akiza, and from there I tell her about out duel, and how I...I was unable to stop her.." And that's about all that's happened since then.." I whispered.

Her eyes were wide opened, and everything seemed quite. " Oh, Comet...I'm so sorry, this is all our fault, if it wasn't for us none of this would had happened."

I shook my head. " No, we would had still met, and our duel would had still happened. Nothing would had stopped that.." I stated, trying not to give out all of my information.

Mrs. Izinski looked at me with worried eyes, but she wasn't looking directly at me...I move my hand to feel the scar on my neck...The one made by Akiza's dragon. I looked at her trying not to show that it was done by her.

" Oh, This...this was done by a tree. You know I'm kinda clumsy at times, and one of the branches nicked me that's all." I smiled, rubbing my head.

The woman knew better though. " She did that to you?" she whispered. I stop, and my smile disappeared.

" It wasn't her fault, a darkness resides in her that was grown by Sayer. It's my mission to stop her before it...it destroys her.." I stated.

" So you will have to duel again?" She implies.

I nodded my head. " Yeah, but this time I will not fail, and I'll save your daughter, but not alone.." I stated.

" What do you mean?" she asked, confused.

" I need you and your husband to come with me, to the duel..I think if you make up with your daughter then the outcome of this duel may change.." I looked up at her. " She needs you, and you can give her something that I can't...parental love."

Mrs. Izinski sighed, and looked at me with calm eyes. " I'll talk this over with my husband, but until then you're welcome to stay here."

I nodded my head. " Thank you.."

In one of the rooms....

Comet, are you sure about this? Draco roared quietly. I placed my hand on his snout.

" Of course, she needs to find peace with her parents...Akiza has the chance to get to know them again, and start over...I wasn't given that chance.." I whispered, still petting Draco.

He looked at me with calm starry eyes. Your parents knew that you were important to this world, and they loved you so much that they gave their life so you can have yours... He growled softly.

" I know, but...It's strange to see how others have their family, and yet I was given to my uncle...He never wanted me.. I never even saw them, and I don't want to see Akiza just throw away that part of her life.." I whispered.

Draco was about to say something, but paused. The door opened. " Comet?"

I got up and turned to face her. " Yes, Mrs. Izinski."

She chuckled. " You don't' have to look so tense, and you don't have to be trapped in here."

I blushed a bit. " I'm sorry, I'm just not use to being here.." I scratched my head.

" Here I want to talk to you, can you come to the living room?"

" Sure.." I nodded my head, and we walked down to the room, and sat down.

" Comet, how old are you?" she asked, I looked at her, confused, but I answered.

" I'm thirteen, why do you ask?" I looked at her.

" Honey, where in the world are your parents?" she seemed distressed. I guess I hadn't relized that I'm underage to be wandering around the city by myself.

" Um...Well, you see I lived with my uncle, but he sent me away to Duel Academy, and I've been there ever since.." I stated.

" Comet, a child your age shouldn't be running around like this, or you almost could had got yourself severely hurt.." she stated.

" I know, but I had to be with her, Akiza during all this time has been like a sister to me, and we...we both have gifts.." I stated.

" You mean, you have powers too?" she asked. I nodded my head. " Can you control them?"

" I've spent years with my friend Draco, and he's helped me train and control them. I've still have a lot to learn, but for the most part my powers are like second nature to me." I smiled.

" I see, I'm glad that Akiza had someone that understood her, with her this whole time, but you said you lived with your uncle?" she inquired. I nodded my head. " Then were you-"

I sighed, I didn't want it to come to this, but I saw no turning around from it. " My mom...she died of childbirth, and I wasn't going to survive the night, so my dad...he gave me his powers and his life, so I could live....So basically my parents both died the night I was born..." I whispered. " I never got to know my parents, so I didn't want Akiza to throw away that chance have parents."

Mrs. Izinski nodded her head, and tears began to well up. " I'm...I'm so sorry, I didn't-"

" No, it's okay.." I smile softly.

The door opened. " He-Who's this?"

I felt a chill go up my spin, and I turned around. " Um.."

Mrs. Izinski got up and greeted her husband. " This boy, he's a friend.." she explained softly.

" A friend?" he asked. I nodded my head, and stood up to greet him.

" My name is Comet Galelli, and I'm a friend of your daughter." I say. His eyes widen, and he rushed to me.

" You know my daughter?!" he yelled shocked. I nodded my head, and as we sit down; I explain the whole situation to him.

" That's why I need your help.." I finish. He looked at me strangely, and sighed.

" Thank you, Comet, and we appreciate what you are doing, but aren't you a little young to be making decisions like this?" he asked, not knowing what I was capable of.

I nodded my head. " I understand that I'm not exactly the person you thought that could save Akiza, but trust me; I've am capable of taking care of myself."

Mr. Izinski nodded his head. " I know...Alright, then when the time comes we will do anything you need us to, anything to help us save our baby."

I nodded my head. " Of course.."
