Ava's Pov

I was making my last rounds at the hospital and let me tell you what, my feet are happy about that. I've been here for 9 long hours and I'm ready to go home and see my sexy new husband. I still can't believe I'm married. It's only been 5 days since I got married to my husband, and I'm loving every moment of it. I looked down at the clock on the computer and saw it was already going on 7 at night. Thank God my shift ends at 7. I'm going to go home and take a nice hot bath and cook a quick super then go to bed. I have to get back to work at 7 in the morning.

Sometimes I don't know why I wanted to be come a nurse for, but seeing the faces on the people that I've helped makes me feel good about having this for a job. I walked down the hall to cheek on my last patient that I have. Mrs. Woods, a 83 year old woman who came in to the hospital with the flu.

I walked into her room and saw her daughter was reading 'Fifty Shades Of Grey'. My mom got me that book but I still haven't read it. I saw the movie with my best friend but she kept on telling me the book is way better. She looked up at me and smiled.

"How's she doing?" I asked her. I think her name is Jody.

"She's good. Ate all of her super?" Jody told me. I walked over to cheek on her levels and everything is looking good. I take my job to my heart. I love helping out everyone that walks in this hospital.

"How long has she been sleeping?" I asked her.

"About an hour I would say." Jody told me.

"That's good. I'll be back in the morning to cheek on her again." I said to her daughter.

"Thank you for everything you have done with my mom. I know nurses don't get all of the prays that they should." Jody told me. I smiled at her. That means a lot to me. And it is true. The doctors save the lives, but with out us nurses, CNA's, the kitchen cooks, cleaner hospitals wouldn't run at all.

"Well, thank you. Is that good book." I asked her, looking down at her book.

"Yes. After my husband died, I was too old to get back in the dating world, so this is my new husband." Jody told me. I smiled at her.

"I have it, but never read it." I said to her.

"Honey you are too young for this kind of book. Plus I bet you have a boyfriend, why should you read it?" Jody told me. I smiled at her.

"I have a husband." I told her.

"How long?" Jody asked me.

"5 days." I said to her.

"Why are you even here? When my Richie and I married we ran off for a month. My mother was so mad at us." Jody told me.

"All I had off was a 5 day vacation. Brantley wasn't mad, he understood." I told her.

"Does he work here was well." Jody asked me.

"Nope. He's a cop." I told her.

"Then do me a favor, get out of here and rock his world." Jody told me. I was trying not to laugh so I wouldn't wake up Mrs. Moods.

"I'm going too. Have a good night and if you need anything Nurse Rose is working tonight. She is a sweet heart." I told her.

"Thanks again. And I'll be fine." Jody told me. I walked out of her room and walked out of the hospital. I walked to my car and got in. I looked down my cell phone and saw I had a text from my husband.

Hubby:)

I got us some pizza for diner tonight. Love you and be safe getting home.

I smiled at his text. I knew when I got with Brantley he was going to be a worry wort over me but in some way I like it. I do love this man more and more. I text him back saying I love him and I'm on my way home.
