Ned Smith everyone.

Brantley's Pov

I was on my way to the hospital to see Ned one more time before he gets put in a foster home. I hate to see what kind of family this little boy will get. I hope the best for him. I did everything I can to save him, now it's all up to his foster family. I just pulled up to the hospital and walked in. I saw Monica and she told me to walk back to Ned's room. Over the past couple of days Ned and I have gotten a long with each other. He likes super hero's like Bat Man, Spider man and he loves mac and cheese. He is a cool kid to hang out with.

I was almost to Ned's room when I saw Dr. Richards walking over to me. Now I try to be nice to everyone that Ava works with but this is one man I can't stand. He thinks he is better then everyone else. Well, not in my books. Sorry about you.

"Gilbert what are you doing here?" Dr. Richards asked me. I looked at him.

"Just cheeking on Ned." I said to him, trying to walk away from him.

"That's good. His new foster family will be here in a hour." Dr. Richard said to me. I looked at him.

"What's there name?" I asked him.

"Now Gilbert you know I can't tell you that? But what I can tell you is that they have 5 children and live about 60 miles out of town." Dr. Richard told me. I was getting more and more pissed off at him.

"Have a good day. I'll be seeing you soon." Dr. Richard said to me, walking away from me. I hate him. I walked into Ned's room and saw he was already dressed and watching some TV.

"Hey little man?" I said to Him. Ned looked up and gave me a big Smile.

"Brantley, what are you doing here?" Ned asked me. I sat down next to him. Ned gave me a big hug.

"I got you some food. I know you don't like the hospital food here at all." I said to him. Ned took the McDonald's bag from me. He looked inside of it.

"Bacon, cheese and egg sandwich." Ned said to me. I smiled at him.

"You got it little man. I know how much you like them." I said to him. Ned smiled at me.

"Thank you Brantley." Ned said to me. I smiled at him. I saw he was watching some old western on TV. Strange kid.

"Do you know what is going on today?" Ned asked me. I looked down at him.

"Yeah I do." I said to him. Ned looked up at me.

"What if they are mean to me like my old mommy was?" Ned asked me. He hasn't said nothing about his mama before.

"What do you mean? Was your mommy not nice to you?" I asked him.

"Yep. She slapped me on my face lots of times. She broke my glasses. That's why these have tape on them. See." Ned said to me showing his old glasses.

"Ned, do you know who your father is?" I asked him. Ned looked at me and was thinking.

"I think so. He was tall. Mean look on his face. Mommy said he was a lot older then her?" Ned said to me. I was about to say something but I think it's best not to ask him any more questions for a while.

For the next 30 minutes Ned and I watched some TV and just talking to each other. He told me he likes Ava a lot and she is really nice to Ned when she makes her rounds here at the hospital. That makes me happy.

"So you have any kids Brantley?" Ned asked me. I looked down at him and smile.

"Nope. I just got married lest then a month ago?" I told him. Ned looked at me.
