Revenge and Regret

But I don't want you to die,
At least not at first,
I want you to feel this,
I want it to hurt.

I want you to know how it felt to be me,
Screaming, and crying, and begging to bleed.

I want you to hate every part of yourself,
Constantly wishing that someone would help.

I want you to break down into two,
I want you to feel exactly how I do.

I want you to hate every breath that you take,
I want you to pray that someone takes it away.

I want you to yell and fall down on the floor,
I want you to scream you can't take it no more.

I want you to tremble and shake as you grab it,
I want you to feel sick for not kicking the habbit.

I want you to slide it across your wrist,
But deeper this time so you know you won't miss.

You're aiming for death,
You're doing your best,
You're hoping you won't end up with less.

This time it works,
You finally got it right,
Because your laid on the floor out like a light.

Your spirt slowly lifts from your corpse,
and suddenly you're filled with regret and remorse.

Tears swell in your eyes as you look up at me.
Your heart sinks to the floor, and you whisper “It can't be.”

You start to shake as you come face to face, with the person you basically killed with your hate.

I thought I would feel better once you were here too, but instead I feel worse because I know it was my death that did this to you.

It haunted you, and ate at you, because you knew what you did was wrong.
So you started making the same mistakes, because you couldn't handle me being gone.

You cried yourself to sleep over a person you were supposed to hate,
But in reality you were just trying to fit in and relate.
You didn't realize a life was what it would take.

Months passed and depression hit you harder than a ton of bricks.
So you decided to go ahead and kill yourself, because you didn't think you deserved to live.

You wish you wouldn't have done it, you wish you could take it back, but you already know there's no changing the past.

So now we're both here,
Burning in hell.
We can cry our hearts out,
But no one will help.

We can scream,
We can pray,
But nothing will save us from this firey light.

So we have to stay, and endure the pain,
Because we were the ones who chose to take our own lives.
