*Lauren's POV*
At first Camila and I had thought about driving to one of the girls house, but when we were half way to Ally's house, Camz asked if we could go to the softball field. Despite my confusion on why out of everywhere she'd ask to go there, I just nodded and drove. We parked outside of the large field, the sun was beating down on the lush green grass and not a soul was around for at least a miles radius.
I got out of the car and met her at her door right away, taking her hand in mine, leading her through the large gates onto the bleachers that sat beside the field for the fans. My stomach was still tight and in knots from the conversation with her parents earlier. There was no doubt in my mind that they were currently arguing over this right now and that honestly made me feel sad, I couldn't even begin to understand how this was bothering Camila.
I looked at my girlfriend with curious eyes as we sat down on the cold metal benches. "Why did you ask to come here?" I asked with interest, yet she remained silent, her eyes trained on the field in front of us. I looked out at the field as well, memories of past games flooding my mind. I couldn't help but smile at the memory of my teaming winning the championship. It was a happy day, everyone was all smiles, all of my friends and family were cheering us on.
"I asked to come here because this is one of the few places I've ever seen you truly and sincerely happy." She finally said after a couple minutes of complete silence.
"Babe, as long as I'm anywhere with you, I'll be happy." I said causing the side of her lip to twitch up into a little smile
"Well, maybe you'll be extra super happy since we're here and you're with me."
I grinned and let out a giggle, "of course."
"I'm sorry." She said quietly and looked down at our intertwined fingers.
"For what?"
"The way my parents reacted."
I let out a loud laugh and that's when she looked up at me with a surprised expression on her face. I smiled wide and placed my hand on her cheek. "It could've been worse, and no matter what they say anyway, it won't matter, I've made my choice to be with you not caring what anyone else thought." A genuine smile spread on her face and I knew she could hear the honesty and sincerity in my voice.
I leaned in and placed a kiss on her forehead, wanting her to feel the love I felt for her. I could never really put it into words, the way I feel for her. It's like whenever I see her everything stops and it's just her, it's always just her. My heart beats fast whenever she's near and I can't stop myself from staring as she walks past. She's beautiful, both on the inside and the outside.
She's one of those innocent and pure people that you wish existed everywhere. With a simple smile she brightens a room, Camila Cabello is the definition of perfection. She loves so passionately about so many things and cares with all of her heart. She's goofy, cute, a little clumsy, loud, loving, and so many more things. Sure she's a little crazy at times but at least she knows how to have fun.
I would never understand why out of everyone in this world, she'd choose to be with me. Me and her are polar opposites, I do sports, go to crazy parties, and shut people off faster than they can blink. There's days I rarely talk and then there's days I never shut up. My flaws are never ending while here she sits, perfect. I was wild and I liked to show it, I liked to go to parties with my girls Alexa and Vero, even Lucy sometimes.
I wasn't good for Camila, hell I wasn't good for Normani or Ally or Dinah, I'm just as bad as Victoria. How such sweet people love a wild and unreadable person like me will forever boggle my mind.
"What are you thinking about?" Camila asked snapping me from the depths of my thoughts. I had contemplated lying to her but what good would that be, if anyone can read me, it's her.
"I'm thinking about why someone as amazing, innocent and pure as you would wanna date a wild child like me. I'm frustrating, thick headed and stubborn." I said quietly.
"No you're not. Sure you go to parties and I know kids like to say stuff about it, but at least you're real and don't just lie about things. Sure you're stubborn but that means nothing, it only happens when you're angry. You're an amazing person, you've got an intriguing mind, and it's difficult to understand how you're feeling sometimes but nevertheless you're fabulous." She said
Smiling quickly at me she continued, " I know that up in that mind of yours you've convinced yourself that you don't deserve me, but you do. Remember that shy and timid freshman you met way back when? Well you helped that little freshman blossom into who I am now. You bring me happiness and you mean the world to me and if anyone in this world deserves me, it is you and only you."
I didn't say anything in response, I just leaned in and pressed our lips together. I pulled her close to me, my arms locked around the back of her neck while her arms were laced around my torso. "Whoa, get it Jauregui!" A voice yelled and we quickly broke apart, my eyes darting to the source of the voice. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw Vero and Lucy standing there, a smirk on Vero's face while there was a simple smile on Lucy's.
"Hello to you too Vero." i said with a laugh
"When did this happen miss." She said completely disregarding my comment, taking a seat next to me, Lucy too taking a seat.
"Almost two weeks ago, after the fight with Victoria."
"Ayyyy get it."
"Ignore her." I heard Lucy whisper to Camila
"So what are you two lovebirds doing out here?"
"We had to get out of my house after telling my parents about us..." Camila said
"Oh," Vero said, her smile turning into a frown, "it when down that bad?"
"Her father was a little more angry than her mother, I think it'll be fine though." I said with a confident smile
"They love Camila and they'll accept y'all, it happened to me and Vero when we told my parents." Lucy said with a smile
"I'm not worried, I think Camz is though."
"I'm not," Camz was quick to say," I think they'll accept me, us, I'm just worried about how long it'll take."
"So the rumors are true, Cabello and Jauregui are lesbian for each other." A voice sneered and my eyes snapped to see Victoria and Addison. I clenched my jaw and my knuckles tightened into fists as I stood up, walking so I'd be standing right in front of them. A hand was securely around my arm, making sure I wouldn't do anything, Camila's soft and gentle touch calming me a bit.
"Vicky, I think you should go, and take blondy with you." Vero said standing right next to me
"No wonder Cabello resisted my charm." Addison muttered
We all ignored Addison's comment and Victoria just smirked at me, taking a step forward so she was practically in my face. "Dyke." She muttered in a low, mean voice, venom dripping off the word as it slipped through her lips.
"Leave." I said
"Or what?"
"Or I'll make you fucking leave."
