Chapter 23- i do not like that boy.

*Lauren's POV*

The hallways of my high school were stuffy with too many people bunched up, rambling on about how their weekends went and whatever other drama was going on in their lives. Rolling my eyes as I passed a group of freshman, who were swooning over a senior football player, I made my way to my locker. The only reason I could ever even handle school and being here was because Camila was here and she always kept me sane and happy.

Finally at my locker, I opened it and retrieved my books. I looked around to see if Camila was anywhere to be seen and of course she was but there was someone with her. It was that boy Austin Mahone, he was the captain of the baseball team, there wasn't a girl in this school who hasn't had a crush on him at least once. I snarled under my breath, why in the world would he be hanging out with my girlfriend.

By the looks of it, they have been friends for a quite a while. I couldn't help but scowl as she put her hand on his shoulder, laughing at something he said, which was probably stupid because he had the iq of an ape. I never thought of him as a bad dude, I mean he's nice and all, but I don't appreciate him being all buddy buddy with MY girlfriend. And I don't appreciate how buddy buddy she's being with him either.

"Looks like Cabello has a thing for that Mahone boy." A voice said and I turned to see the blonde girl I've come to dislike, Addison. She didn't have a dirty smirk on her face this time, it was more of a serious look.

"Why do you care?" I asked and furrowed my eyebrows together, trying to grasp why she'd be talking to me after trying to piss me off for so long

"I can see that what's going on right there is making you unhappy. Mahone isn't a good boy to be leaving around a pretty girl like your girlfriend."

"Why are you even talking to me."

"Look Lauren," she said and took a deep breath," what I did was cruel, I should've backed out yours and Camila's relationship but I was trying to make Victoria happy. Too bad I didn't realize earlier how big of a back stabbing bitch she actually is."

I snorted and let out a chuckle,"I could've told you that from the start."

"What I'm trying to say is that I'm sorry. Plus as pretty as Camila is, she isn't my type, you're more of my type. Just saying."

"Thanks? I guess?" I asked

"It's a compliment. Anyway, don't get so down about Camila and Austin acting like that, she's crazy about you and I don't think she's crazy enough to hurt you over him, but you should talk to her."

"Maybe I will."

"Well I should get going. Later, Jauregui." And with that she left. With a shrug of the shoulders I turned around just in time to see Camila hugging Austin before he walked away. As she walked my way, Normani and Dinah joined her. I quickly went back to grabbing things out of my locker trying to subside the bubbling jealousy in the pit of my stomach. God I really don't like that boy, I thought to myself.

"Hey babe." Camila's cheery voice exclaimed and I just nodded to her

"Morning." I muttered, giving a nod to all three girls

"You okay, Lo?"

"Yeah I'm fine Camz, I just have to get to homeroom so I can finish this paper." I half lied and half told the truth, the paper part was true and I did have to get it done but this was also an excuse for me to be alone.

"Oh..." Was all she muttered and I tried to give her the best reassuring smile I could. "Don't look so down Camz, you have these two knuckle heads to hang out with before homeroom begins. I'll see you in lunch." I said and kissed her cheek and she pouted, pointing to her lips. My heart was screaming no, telling me my feeling were hurt, but I just decided to ignore it for the time being and bent down to connect our lips, breaking apart a couple seconds later.

"Mani, take care of the two children whilst I'm gone." I said as I walked off towards homeroom, earning a loud "HEY" from both Dinah and Camila. From that point on the day kinda drug on slowly and eventually lunch time had come around and I found myself sitting in the same old seat, pushing my lunch food around with a fork. Dinah and Ally were up in line getting food whilst Mani and Camila were somewhere.

I heard Normani's loud, yet adorable laugh, and looked up to see her walking with Camila and much to my like Austin was beside her, making both of the girls laugh. My grip tightened on my fork as she bumped playfully into his side, a slight blush appearing on her and his cheeks. I tore my gaze away from my best friend and girlfriend, shoving food in my mouth to keep myself from saying something beyond rude.

"Hope you don't mind Laur, but Austin is gonna sit with us today." Normani said and I just nodded not in the mood for conversation. Dinah and Ally soon joined us and I hated the seating arrangement that was currently being placed. Austin was next to me and Camila was on the side of me whilst the other three were across from us, Camila and Austin talking and laughing the whole.

A wondering hand met mine under the table and I knew it was Camila's but I pulled away and put it on the table gaining a weird look from all the girls. "You okay?" Camila muttered in my ear, kissing my neck lightly. I nodded vaguely and just went back to fiddling with the food in front of me.

"So and like I was leaning against the window and it just broke and I fell out, ruing the poor pizza places window." I heard Austin reciting one of his dumb stories which, god only knows why, the girls all laughed to. I couldn't take it anymore, I stood up quickly and grabbed my books, about to turn away when a hand grabbed my wrist. I turned to see Camila looking at me with those big brown eyes, a questioning look on her face and the rest of the girls faces.

"Where are you going?" She asked

"I'm not feeling well, I wanna go lay down in the nurses office." I said in a convincing tone

"Do you want me to walk you there?"

'No just stay here with your boy toy...' I muttered and she said "huh." I sighed, "I said, no just stay here with these guys. I'll catch up with you in science unless the nurse wants me to go home then I'll catch up with you when school is over."

"Okay...bye babe."

I didn't even say bye, I just walked out of the cafeteria, suddenly feeling suffocated from the whole situation. I wanted to go home and just scream, let out all of my frustrations but sadly I couldn't so instead I went to the nurse like I said I was going to and laid down for a while. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I pulled it out to see a message from Camz. I sighed and opened it, ready to reply until I actually read the message:"hey baby, how are you feeling? I'm really worried, so are the girls, even Austin." At the mention of his name, I exited out of the texting app and locked my phone.

I do not like that boy.
