~5 months later~

I sit in the darkness and focus my power again. Herobrine is an idiot if he thinks I will stay here forever. I don't go down without a fight, and I just hope that my friends realize that. I've been keeping track of the days, somehow, and I know that today is the day I've been waiting for. June 7th, Jason's birthday. The day that I am determined to get out of this infinite prison. For the first time, I see something, feel something. I feel my hand, and see the yellow light glowing, illuminating it. I barely remember what I look like, what Jason looks like. Mitch, Ty, Jerome, Jimmy, I can barely remember their faces. But I try, for the day that I will return. And I am determined to make that day be today.

Suddenly, my light glows brighter, and I can make out a figure in the darkness. A beard, no hair, and a fedora. I gasp as I recognize him, and then he starts to speak. "Sky, your fans need you. I understand your friend's birthday is today?" I nod in disbelief. "Well you haven't given up yet, most people who get banished here give in. Why did you keep fighting?" I smile. "Because I promised Jason that I would never leave him. And I plan on keeping that promise." He smiles as well, then offers me a hand. I take it and stand, and he focuses, a blue ball of light appearing in his now glowing hand. "Make your yellow one again and we will combine them. I will see you soon, I hope. Sky, keep on fighting." We combine the balls of magic, and in a flash, the world explodes in color.

~Jason's POV~

I am sitting, like I usually do, by Adam's bed, where he has been laying for almost 5 months. Mitch objected at first, but quickly gave in and let me spend today with Adam. Because today is my birthday. Today, I'll be 14, Tears come to my eyes as I think about it. Adam, he promised to never leave me. And now, on my birthday, he is gone. And I'm finally starting to realize that he may never come back. Mitch and the others still haven't told his fans that he is gone, but we skipped out on PAX this year. Ty told the fans that Adam was having personal problems and couldn't record. Not that it mattered, anyways. The fans know that Adam was mute, and think he still is. I guess, in a way, he kinda is mute. I look at his face, peaceful. He has a scar where the gash was, covered by his curly hair, and he looks peaceful. I wish I could see his brown eyes again. They were comforting, after everything I went through, but they weren't there when I needed them most. I hear the door open, and Mitch walks into the room, putting a hand on my shoulder. I'm sitting in the wheelchair, I gave up on ever walking again. I know that my legs are gone, forever.

Suddenly, I am pulled from my thoughts by Adam's hand, which is glowing yellow. Mitch disappears to get Jimmy and to call Rythian. Jimmy joins me in Adam's room, and I watch as the yellow light gets stronger, then weaker again. It continually does that, even after Mitch and Rythian join us. Suddenly, his hand starts glowing blue as well, and the colors start spreading. When they reach his eyes, Adam coughs, and his eyes fly open. He starts breathing again, and sits up, looking at the four of us. "Welp, looks like it worked. Thank Notch." He says, smiling. I feel tears come down my face and Adam frowns. "Jason..." He opens his arms and I hug him tightly. "I never gave up on you. I sat here, ever day, just waiting for you to wake up. Mitch tried to get me to do something, today especially, but I knew you would come back." I say, crying happily. Adam smiles and we both sit up. "When I said thank Notch, I wasn't kidding. Notch literally saved me. That's what the blue light was, his magic." I smile. "So Notch is magic too?" Adam nods. "Oh, and happy birthday, Jason. You're 14 now." I smile and laugh as he continues. "I didn't have anything planned, so I hope this is enough." He says, grinning. "Adam, you gave me the best present ever, just by keeping your promise. Now let's go tell everyone else." He stands and grabs the handles of my chair, pushing me out of the room. "Hey, guess who's back?" I yell. People flood into the living room, and I hug Adam again. He's back. And he won't be going anywhere, anytime soon.

Oh, that's what you think...
