Chapter 36

Welcome back to another chapter! Yeah... Christmas is in only 3 days!!!! On with the story!

~Toby's POV~

I am listening to Mitch read off the list of who sleeps where. I am sleeping with Tom and Lucy, on the couches in the living room. Everyone else leaves, and Lucy smiles. "So... I don't really know much about what's going on. I didn't quite catch your names. Are you Tom?" She asks, pointing at me. Tom and I laugh. "I'm Toby. Tom is older than me." She frowns. "Dang, I was wrong. Oh well. How old are you guys?" She questions. "I'm 21, and Toby is 16." Tom answers. Lucy's ears flick. "I'm 14. Toby, are you staying here for the night, and going back home with your parents tomorrow?" Its an innocent question, but it hits hard. I look down, silent, and Tom puts a hand on my shoulder. "Toby doesn't have parents. We don't know what happened to them, they just disappeared. Instead of going to an orphanage, Toby moved in with Martyn and Kaeyi." He explains. Lucy's ears droop a little and she looks sad. "I'm sorry, I didn't know..." I look up and force myself to smile. "Don't worry, you didn't know. Anyways, whose gonna sleep where?" I ask, changing the subject. Lucy grins. "I'll sleep on the chair. You two can have the couches." We nod, and get on our respective pieces of furniture. I close my eyes and fall asleep.

I wake up to whimpering. I open my eyes and sit up, looking over to see Lucy curled up in a ball, whimpering and shaking in her sleep. She must be having a nightmare. I tap her shoulder, and she stops shaking and opens her eye. When she sees me, she growls, and I jump back. "Oh my gosh, sorry! I forgot where I was for a minute!" I laugh a little. "Its okay! Say, were you having a nightmare? You were shaking and whimpering in your sleep." She nods, and I pull her into a hug. "Don't worry! You can sleep with me, okay?" She smiles, and we walk over to my couch. She curls up and falls straight back to sleep, and I smile. She is really pretty... I put my arm around her shoulder and travel to the world of dreams.

Short, I know, but its late and I'm tired. I'll update more tomorrow, and epic fights with hybrids and Herobrine will be coming shortly. Until next time, Seeya!
