I woke up to hear my mom's voice going,"Zach! Breakfast's on the table!" I finally got out of bed and walked downstairs. My mom was at the table eating her bacon egg and cheese sandwich. My mom has blonde hair and is white. She has a really nice figure and she was the cheerleading captain in high school. She looks like she's still in high school so all of my teachers so far thought she was my sister. Of course my dad was already at his job that I knew nothing about. I sat in my usual seat as my mom greeted me.
" Zach today's basketball tryouts don't forget. Your dad'll be really proud," Mom reminded me.
"Yah right," I replied. See my dad's a pretty quiet person. A few years ago he was the loving, caring father that any kid would've traded for. But now he keeps things to himself and has a mask of no emotions if you know what I mean. He's black which makes me an oreo cookie if you will. I have hair that can shift from spiky to curly if I want. Now I'm using the curly look. I have mixed looking skin and I'm beginning to grow abs on account of me going to the gym with my dad every week. Despite my athletic personality, I love to read. I'm not a bookworm or anything, it just intrigues me with the different worlds you can create when you write stories.
When I finished my breakfast I got dressed in a red shirt with white sleeves and jeans."See ya' mom!," I shouted as I shut the door. I looked in front of the lawn to see my best friend, Donny Randers with his girlfriend Ashley Smith. Donny recently cut hair and had dark skin. Donny had his purple earphones around his neck and a purple hat. He had his arm around Ashley's waist. Donny's two inches shorter than me and it's been like that since we met. I walked down the walkway to greet Donny."A' yo what's up Donny, Ashley."
" Zach, what's goin on ," Donny replied back.
" Hey Zach," Ashley said. The bus came up to our stop at the corner as we arrived there. We all walked on the bus and got into our seats in the back.
"Field trip today guys," I reminded them."Why are we going to this place anyway?"
"We're going to the museum because we have to learn about the World Wars for History," Ashley answered.
" Forever smart eh' Ashley," I told her. She just smiled and began talking to Donny about Donny's Math homework. Ashley was a pretty Pourto Rican and was smart too. She wasn't the stuck up type and that's what Donny liked about her. The bus soon came to a halt in front of Kindleton Township Junior High. Ashley,Donny, and I walked into school and headed to the 8th Grade wing to our homerooms. Ashley and I share a homeroom and have all but one classes together. As me and her walked into Ms. Alexio's class, Kiyara Green walked up to Ashley and began talking to her.
"Hey Kiyara what's up," I nervously said. Did I mention that she's the most beautiful girl in the whole universe. She has light skin like me and has dark chocalate eyes that almost look black and shine like the stars. Her extremely dark hair almost looks black and noone could tell the difference unless they looked closely. Many people say thet her nose looks like a horse but it's beautiful like the rest of her and is unique. If it wasn't for her I'd probably hate coming to homeroom every day. I stared at her until homeroom was over. I'd never felt this way about a girl before and I knew it was love.
When Home room was over an announcement came on the loud speaker,"All students participating in the World Wars Museum trip may go to the cafeteria at this time." Ashley,Kiyara,a couple of other kids and I went to the cafeteria. There, I sat next to Donny and our other friend Jacob.
"Hey Zach what's happening',"Jacob greeted me.
"Hey Jacob and nothing much. What do you think about this whole trip anyway?," I questioned him.
"I think its pretty cool that we're gonna learn about the World Wars. But I bet you that there'll be lectures to last us a lifetime," he replied. When we boarded the buses I noticed a man wearing a black trench coat and a hat that you'd see on detectives in TV shows. I couldn't see his face because every part of him was covered in shadows. But despite the fact that I couldn't see any part of his face I could have swore that he was staring directly at me. I figured I was hallucinating and got on the bus. The whole bus ride was extremely boring and I listened to my MP3 Player on the way.
"We're here dude," Donny informed me. I nodded to him in response and walked off the bus. As we waited for Ashley and Kiyara to walk off another bus I turned around to look at the Museum. It looked like a smaller version of the white house with a gold American flag at the top. Amazing, I thought as I stared at the building. As I examined the building some more I saw a man in a black trench coat with a black hat. It couldn't have been a coincidence that he showed up at the same place that I did. I came to the conclusion that something was up. I stayed on lookout the whole time and didn't bother paying attention much.
Boom! A noise went coming from the ceiling. Suddenly, everyone heard screams coming out of nowhere. My classmates except for Donny,Kiyara, and Ashley began panicking.
"What's happening guys?," Kiyara asked freaked out of her wits.
"Who knows," I answered. I turned around to where everyone seemed to be staring at and didn't see anything at first. Then Donny pointed out the man in black on the stairs. He had what looked like a wispy, cloud of shadows doing a circular movement in his right hand."Yah I saw him two times earlier. One at school and the other in front of the museum."
"Why didn't you tell me dude?," Donny asked.
"Dunno didn't seem important enough. Plus,I thought I was seeing things anyways," I explained.
"Zach, there's a guy with with skin you can't even see, covered in who knows what, following us and you didn't find the need to tell us!?," he exclaimed. I began thinking that over for a bit and saw that he was definitely right.
"Guys can you snap back to reality for a second so we can figure out why the heck everyone's freaking out!," Ashley interupted.
"Yah sorry about that Ash," Donny apoligized. At that moment the man in black raised his open hand and shot some shadow blast at us. By instinct I grabbed Kiyara and Donny grabbed Ashley and jumped out of the way.
"Th-Thanks for saving me," she blushed. I picked her up and signaled to Donny and Ashley to run. Our whole class was still screaming. All of a sudden our Tour Guide opened her hand and aimed at the man in black. The tour guide shot out flame that looked like a dragon and it flew to the man in black. Before we knew it, the fire dragon clamped its teeth with the man in black in it. The tour guide shut her hand into a fist and the dragon evaporated.
The tour guide headed towards the exit as my classmates stood frozen.
"Follow me," she said as he made a "c'mon" waving gesture of his hand.
