I woke up in a stir. My dream seemed so real but it was only a dream. I kept reminding myself that. I realized that I was in a room in a comfy bed. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt that read "W". I got out of bed and opened the door. I was in space, it seemed like. I watched a burning ball of fire fly passed me. Suddenly, it felt like I was being sucked into a void. I was being sucked into a strange void. The void shut and I was shut in. I was in a jungle and I myself couldn't believe it. I guessed it was a dream and walked on. I brushed past some bushes and walked into a clearing. There I saw Donny,Kiyara, and Ashley sitting on tree roots. On a tree branch stood Talia.
"Welcome Zachariah. Glad you could join us," she said."We've been expecting you."
"Excuse me, but what are we doing here Ms... uh Talia," asked Ashley. Ashley sat next to Kiyara and I sat myself on the green, mossy tree root next to Donny. We were on opposite ends of the circular clearing in the middle of this jungle. I looked up to Talia to the right of me and Donny.
"If you four are the ones of prophecy then you will have to learn to be skilled Wizards and Witches," she explained as she jumped down into the middle of the clearing." Learning will most likely come naturally to you four since you have copying abilities. Now let me explain something to you. We Wizards and witches are more like the skilled ninjas. You will need flexibility and durability to last in this training. If you're not willing to go to great extents to learn then I will gladly transport you to your home. Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes!," we all shouted in response.
"We will begin your training immediately," Talia informed us." First we will learn which element you all can use." Talia took out a small, brown satchel, untied it and took out a bit of sparkling dust. She walked over to Ashley and sprinkled it on her. About five seconds later a spiraling wind sign appeared over top of her in white."You are of wind element, Ashley"
"Cool.Weird but cool. I control the air," Ashley smiled. I thought about her having the power of air and it was pretty cool.
"Kiyara Green, It's your turn," Talia turned to Kiyara. She sprinkled the sparkling dust over Kiyara, her scowl still unhappy. The sign over her glowed bright purple but looked like it was burning. Talia's mouth dropped open." Th-this is purple fire. A very sacred fire that ownly two have previously had before. You see, the purple fire is more destructible and can slice like solid or smash like rock. It's very unique." Talia smiled slightly then her face turned serious again. She walked over to me and Donny and sprinkled dust on him.
A blue lightning bolt appeared over his head. He obviously had lightning abilities. Finally Talia walked over to me and sprinkled the dust over me. A shadow covered my head. Talia covered her mouth with her hands.
" What?," I asked.
She reluctantly said ",The power of shadows. You have shadow manipulation abilities. You can teleport and make shadows bend to your will. It'd a very rare and powerful ability. But do not go to the dark side as many others have. Many good Witches and Wizards go to the dark side," Talia informed. I shuddered. It was just like the man in the museum, and I didn't like it one bit." But that's not all. You're powers are just about uncontrollable. You're... dangerous."
" So I'm ... evil. I am no better than the man at the museum." I turned my head away from them, ashamed to show my face. Many things had happened in the last day that I could handle. I was a wizard, son of the head of the "W" Society. I was part of the prophecy with four others. I could handle that but the fact that my powers could make me turn on my friends was something I couldn't deal with. I ran into the woods. I was a threat. Who gave a crap that I was part of the prophecy. I ran until I couldn't anymore. Finally, I sat on the ground surrounded by bushes. I hoped that nobody would find me. Suddenly, I heard the taps of someone's footsteps.
" Why did you run away Zach?," It was Kiyara's voice."You know you're no monster. I really don't think that you are." That comforted me. Just knowing that she was there filled a hole in my heart.
" You heard what Talia said. I'm a danger to anyone who steps in a forty yard radius of me." I had my back to her. She sat down behind me. Then. she did something I would've never expected. She wrapped her arms around my waist.
" I-I love you and I'll never let go whether you like it or not Zach," she told me. I was so suprised by what she did.
When I finally snapped out of it I whispered ", Never let go." We were there for a half an hour but it seemed like longer. When we were done we walked back hand by hand. I smiled and she smiled.
" Woah! Is this a new couple?," asked Donny. We both nodded.
" Well now that that's over, it's time to get busy," Talia informed us. " We will secondly go over each others strengths and weaknesses. Overall you will have to master your elemental abilities first. That is your first task." She took a breath. " This area was created by Zach himself when he was little." I stared wide eyed.
" When did this happen?," I asked. I remembered how my dad told me I could create worlds when I wrote. I began searching for a memory that involved writing about a jungle. Then I remembered when I wrote a descriptive essay in third grade about a jungle. " Oh, I remember! In third grade I wrote a descriptive essay about a jungle that had no end."
" Yes. And since this place was created by magic, it will help you all in your training."
" How?," Ashley questioned.
" Well, it will enhance your magical abilities here so you get the basics. But out there it will be harder to use your powers. However, you'll have the main thing down. Ready?" We nodded." Then let's get started."
