Dear Daughter;
This pain that you feel that's consuming you,
That you think will never end.
I've felt it,
I've lived it,
I've survived it.
Now hold me tight, momma's got you.
Us against them all. ~ SOUL UNRAVELED ( Instagram Profile )

Chapter 7

Ammah wouldn't be able to count the amount of times she had to tell the teachers that she would make sure Suleiman and Sabiha behave better next time.

She has  always known they were rebels but damn, she surely got a new insight to what they can really be.

Everything was slightly amusing until their Islamic Studies teacher complained about how Sabiha skips his classes and how disrespectful Suleiman had been recently. His English teacher had asked him if he was alright, last week, and he said " no I'm all left "

" I promise you'll see changes next term inshaAllah " she had said yet again.

At some point it became very obvious that Mubarak had no idea what to do in situations like this. But he was listening intently, even started messaging is temple when hr realised just how much trouble his Twins were causing.

She had to take everything into her own hands . And knowing he had to be in a meeting anytime soon, Ammah tried speeding everything up for him.

They were soon done, all that's left is to sign the attendance to the class teacher " good morning, Mr. Tayo " Mubarak said as he reached out for a hand shake, clasping his hand with the skinny man in front of them while Ammah followed after with a small " good morning"

" good morning Mrs Mahmoud, congratulations on the new marriage "

Say what  ?

" no we're no uhh  - actually she is well no . . . " Mubarak tried to explain all while stuttering.

Almost immediately, Ammah bowed her head down as she bit down on her lips in embarrassment. But not before noticing the look of disgust that crossed over Suleiman's face.

" well yeah no. . . yes, she isn't my wife" Mubarak finally got out. If if wasn't concerned with her, she surely would've been In fits of laughter.

Well at least that was out of the way.

" I need to use the bathroom" came Suleiman's voice as she turned around and marched right out the hall, leaving us with  his class teacher.

" I've been meaning to ask you what has been going on with your son, he is a very smart young boy and lately his results are getting worst " Mr Tayo said with concern written on his face " I asked Suleiman if he was alright and I got a sarcastic *no I'm all left* from him"

Mubarak looked like he was in feel thought about this so she figured it was her that was going to reply yet again. but seeing that Sabiha was standing right next to them,Ammah could not bring herself to mention the mothers death In front of her.

" the kid has a lot if pressure on him right now and I understand why his performance is getting bad, but I promise things will be better soon. I promise that" Ammah ended up with a smile on her face, almost as if she was challenging the teacher to wait and see. Or maybe its even Mubarak's gaze that she could feel on her.

Even she knows she might just be getting ahead of herself, but who doesn't like a little challenge here and there.

Ten minutes had passed and they were still waiting for Suleiman ti resurface and Mubarak was visibly worried. At first he was concerned on getting to his meeting early but then again, there's this feeling deep within him that something is wrong.
