Max P.O.V
Saturday 5:00pm
How am I going to do this? I thought to myself. My throat felt dry and my palms were sweaty (knees weak, arms are heavy). Max! This is no time to be a rap god. Chloe was coming any minute and I would have to tell her that Rach and I weren't actually together. I grabbed my nearby glass and as my hands shook the water sloshed like a sea in a storm. Taking a sip I managed to miss my mouth and spill the contest of the glass down my shirt.
"Shit!"
I ran to the closet jumping in to find a new shirt. Just then the door burst open.
"Yo Maximus! Where art thou Maximus"
Hurriedly I flung on a shirt and stumbled out the closet.
"Uh, Hey Price..."
Chloe stood there with a mouthful of popcorn and an eyebrow raised.
"Hey, Max I thought you already came out the closet?"
I blushed and she smirked swallowing her popcorn and crashing onto my bed. I grabbed the disc as she grabbed more popcorn. Grabbing my laptop I joined Captain Chloe and started the film. It suddenly got darker as the sunlight filtered away and I felt my heart rate rise.
"So Maxi Pad how's the girlfriend?"
Chloe said bitterly. I swallowed hard.
"Um about that..."
She turned away from the opening credits to face me.
"What's happened? Did she hurt you? I'll kill her if she hurt you!"
I cupped her cheek
"Chlo chill what I'm trying to say is it wasn't real...It was to make you jealous." She paused for a moment.
"Wait what?"
Shit.
"Chloe I'm sor--" "You like me?" She interrupted.
"Definitely and I have for a long time Captain Oblivious"
We both went quiet and turned our attention back to the film but not before Chloe entwined our hands and pulled me closer.
"Kiss me" I felt a sudden rush of adrenaline.
"What?" She mumbled.
"I double dare you, kiss me now" I challenged.
And with that our lips met.
"Wowser Che...I never thought I'd get to kiss you properly"
Well she smiled leaning closer "Life is strange"
And with that we kissed again.
