Hey guys, it's Hazel ~ and can I just say...thank you?
I'm not really a mushy person, though I might seem like one sometimes when I write (but I have observed that my main characters tend to be tough females hardened by the unfair ways of life). I'm not necessarily saying I'm like that, but I have had few runs through the mill - luckily, I'm past that now :) amen.
Well, I just wanted to thank you guys, this story has forty-six votes! :O That's more than I possibly imagined, I still can't believe it! So for those reading this, I want to thank you for coming this far with one of my favorite characters of all time - Red.
Don't worry, I'm not trying to ease you into a conclusion, not this early in, there's a lot more to come! And something else - I know Red can seem like a (pardon my "French") bitch at times, but really, I'll be honest - this is what I'm like in real life. I deny nothing. I can't help it. I have a natural tendency towards bitchiness. And besides, if a character didn't have bad qualities, there'd be no way to relate to them, right? She would be way too unreal - (Ready for a someday famous quote? xD) "A real writer doesn't need perfect people to make a perfect story."
Not that I'm saying this story is perfect. Not even close - even pretending so is laughable. I know I'll definitely do a lot of rewrites once I finish it, try and smooth is out some - really, it is a bit dramatic right now, so I'm going to clean that up later, or at least find a very good way to justify it. If there's a "dramatic scene" you currently think should be left untouched though, comment or PM me, whichever works best for you :) .
Well sorry for my long rant about writing and such, really I wrote this to just thank you guys so much, my expectations for this story have already shot past what I would have believed! I'm truly, honest-to-God, honored that you (yes, you) have read this far into the story, and I hope you'll stick with me for the rest of Red, and the gang's, adventures!
