Chapter Three: The New Guy

I step out of the car and walk along side Jordan towards the school.

He looks up and glances at me and smiles.

I don't know I got this weird feeling but I kept on walking. Oh wait I think I know why I got that feeling.

Guys. I think I'm..

Pregnant. 

Ahaha just kidding I'm not those kind of people. God my sense of humor is weird. Why do people like me. Oh yeah. They don't.

*sigh* my life is so depressing it hurts.

Oh well.

I walk into Mr. M's classroom like I have no care in the world. 

When I sit down I was kind of put into a deep thought mode. Who was that guy? I don't know why but he seems really familiar. 

Oh i don't know maybe I saw him at the supermarket or something.

"Ms. Graybeck. What did you get for number 3?"

Oh great. I forgot to do my homework. I'm starting to regret everything that happened last night. I bit my lip trying to think of an excuse. Nothing was really that convincing.

"Um I don't have my homework Mr. M.."

"Tisk tisk Ms. Greyback. Detention at 3:00. And you get an F for the assignment."

*sigh* Typical, ordinary day. I usually get a detention every other day anyway. 

After class I went straight to my locker. It was lunch time and I decided to meet Jordan out to go to Starbucks. Haha I know. We're those classic white girls. 

Then something catches my eye. That guy that I saw this morning. He's coming towards me.

Act natural Alex. Don't make it look like you were staring. 

The guy goes up to the locker next to me.

Woah woah wait a second. HE"S MY NEW LOCKER NEIGHBOR?!?

Aw but I liked having no one next to me. No one could say something mean about my outfit or how ugly my face is.

*cough* "Um excuse me? Hi, my name's Alex. I don't know I just had this weird feeling.. Do I know you from somewhere?

"Uh hi. I'm Chase. Nice to meet you." He smiles at me.

Oh dang he has a nice smile. Woah Alex what are you feeling right now? Does Alex have a crush? God if there was anyway to shut my mind up.

"Um I just moved here from New York. I think I like it here in Cali." he says.

"Hey if you want I could show you around. Do you want to have lunch with me and my friend Jordan?"

He smiles again. "Yeah that would be nice."

"Okay let's go outside I'll text her right now."

I get out my phone and text Jordan.

Hey Jordan you know that new guy we saw this morning? Yeah well he's my new locker neighbor and I was wondering if he could have lunch with us. Well its kind of too late to say no. He's already coming with us. Meet me in front of the school.

Yeah gurl as long as he isn't a dick.

Chase follows me and we meet up with Jordan up front. 

"Chase this is Jordan. Jordan this is Chase."

Chase sticks his hand out and Jordan puts her hand in his and they shake on it.

"Okay guys lets go to Starbucks!"
