Chapter Four: Ashley's Replacement

"Andy? Up." I felt my body shift as something moved under me and groaned before stuffing myself in the cushions. I opened my eyes to see I was on the couch and Jake was behind me. "C'mon buddy." "Why?" "Jace is walking up to the bus." I yawned before forcing myself up and waiting for the person.

I haven't met Jace yet and I was a little upset about him replacing Ashley. I mean, yeah he left, he hurt me, but at the same time I miss seeing him around. He means- meant the world to me and without him everything seems fallen apart. Like something huge is missing from my life. We were together for two whole years.. I just feel alone.. even though i'm not.

As the bus door opened I snapped my gaze up to see a guy standing there. He looked around his mid twenties and had almost the same hair as Ashley did. He was wearing black skinnies with a KISS shirt and a bass strapped to his back. He walked up to me and I noticed he had the greenest eyes-- shut up Andy.

"Hey, I'm Jace, nice to meet you." He held out his hand and I shakily shook it before hiding my hands behind my back. "Uh, you bunk is the one closest to the back on the left and its already set up and stuff so.." "Cool, thanks." He wandered to the back of the bus and I sighed before falling back on the couch. CC ran behind him cheering and I couldn't help but chuckle. "Chuppy calm down." "Shut up!" I held my hands in surrender and he smiled before following the man again. "So, you wanna start getting ready for the show?" I looked up to see Jinxx and nodded before standing again and heading to my bunks.

When I got to mine I saw Jace talking to CC before his gaze locked on me. He made a weird glance before looking back to CC and making me a little nervous. He seems like a nice guy though, right?

I finished up the last of my warpaint before sighing at my appearance and shrugging. "Andy you have any warpaint I can borrow?" I jumped before noticing CC and putting a hand over my chest. "Shit dude, next time knock.." "Sorry." I handed him the tub before walking out and grabbing my shoes. After that I sat on my bunk before pulling the boots on and tying them up the side a little tightly so they would stay in place. "Lets see.." I checked around and patted my knees before sighing. I had everything done, now we wait until show time.

"Black Veil Brides on in 5." I smiled at the manager before turning to the guys and playing with my gloves. CC was twirling his drum sticks, Jinxx strumming his guitar along with Jake, and Jace walking around in small circles. The guys gave him good luck signs before they started heading on stage one by one. When it was just me and Jace I put a hand on his shoulder. "Good luck man." He quickly shrugged it off before glaring at me. "Don't touch me faggot." I immediately backed away and looked at him shocked. "I'm only in this band for Ashley. He's my best friend and said he didn't want to let you guys down. Leave me the fuck alone and try to let this process get over with quickly." He turned and ran on stage leaving me alone and.. just.. blown away? The fuck just happened?

"Ello mate, ready to go on?" I saw Danny and was too shocked to say anything. "I g-guess so.." "Stage fright?" "Just a little..." He wrapped his arm around my shoulders before chuckling. "Thats shocking coming from you mate." "Y-eah.. I have to go.." With that, I ran on stage, avoiding Jace's glare as best I could.. now I really do miss Ashley..
