Save me From the Darkest Places

Prologue:

Me and Ash were walking around the city and I couldn't have asked for a better night.

Ash had taken me to dinner at a fancy restaurant and let me cuddle in his arms all night. I had a weird feeling in my gut but shrugged it off and just let the night take us.

As we walked down the empty streets I was kind of scared. "Ashy, can we head back now?" He sighed before turning to me and pulling away. I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion and went to get close to him once again, but he backed away. "Ash?" "Listen, Andy I have to tell you something.." "Okay." "I'm... I'm leaving the band Andy." "What?" My chest tightened and he sighed, grabbing his face with his hand. "Ash.. I.. Why?" "Andy I'm sorry.. I found this new band and I really--" "Why would you leave us?" Tears welled up in my eyes and he sighed. "This band is just starting out and the people used to be my best friends so I told them that I'd go with them when they got bigger.." "Since when?" "Since last year.." "Ash you can't leave us.. what about us?" "Andy I'm sorry.." My heart shattered as I reached out. "Ash no! Please don't leave me! You can leave the band but I'd be nothing without you!" The tears started falling and he sighed, pushing me away. "I'm so sorry Andy.." He turned around and started walking, ignoring me as I fell to my knees and sobbed. "Ash please don't go! Please don't leave me!" "I'm sorry.." Things got quieter as my vision blurred and I cried myself to sleep, in the middle of the sidewalk, alone and in the dark.
