Here I'll be teaching you how to use lighting textures, and the correct way to use them.
First off, please do remember not to make your graphic with the lighting texture up there at 80%. Lighting textures are used to modify the light, not to make your graphic seem as if it's been laminated. At most, a lighting texture would be at 40% opacity but I usually use a 15%-30% opacity for my graphics. Anyways, let's get started! I pulled a few graphics I've made already and am going to show you how the lighting textures worked on them and the best way to use lighting textures on these specific graphics.
Here are some of the lighting textures I have used: (Credit to theedgeofdemi on deviantart, but I would also recommend krypeteriahg 's lighting textures and then my friend @agentday or @ daylightsaver on deviantart has amazing lighting textures!)

1st graphic: PAPER HEARTS
this is a cover I made a little while back with Picsart, and I haven't applied a lighting texture to it so let's see how it'll turn out.
