Kanan's P.O.V

Everyone went on a supply run expect me and Ezra. The reason that the both of us aren't going is cause I am blind and Ezra is well......distant. He's always in his room and when he decides to come out, he's a huge grump. I wasn't sure what his deal is but I was going to figure it out now while the others were gone.

I stood up from meditation position and used the walls to help me get to Ezra and Zeb's room. That's when it hit me full on, a wave of darkness and it was leaking from the room I was going too. "Ezra," I said and knocked on the door but there was no reply. "Ezra, can I come in," I asked one more still with no answer.

The door was locked so I used the force to open the door. I could hear a gasp of shock come from Ezra, I guess he was surprised to see me. I could sense that something was wrong with Ezra but what? "Ezra what's going on?" I asked him. Ever since I lost my sight and Ahsoka, he's been quiet.

"It's nothing," he said, "Can you go now?" "I'm not leaving you this time," I said when I realized that I've been ignoring him for far to long. "Really it's nothing," I reassured but I didn't by it. I stretched my hand out so I wouldn't bump into anything. I felt the surface of the bunk bed and tried to find Ezra. I felt him grab my hand and helped me sit down on Zeb's bed.

We were silent until I spoke, "Ezra, you need to tell me what's going on," I said, "Whatever you're doing in here is getting you closer to the dark side." I heard him mutter "I can handle it." He was probably hoping that I didn't hear it but I did. Then I realized, "Are you using the Sith holocron?" I sensed Ezra freeze from shock and guilt.

"Ezra, that thing is dangerous!" I exclaimed. "Well it's helped me a lot more than you ever did!" Ezra said harshly which made me flinch. He was right but this wasn't him talking, it was also the darkness. "Hand it over," I said trying to do this without setting him off. "Why should I, this has taught me more than you ever did ever since we went to the stupid Sith temple!" Ezra yelled and stood up.

Then he said something that made my heart drop. "I don't need you," he said and left the room. I need to get to him before he becomes fully corrupted. I quickly stood up and made sure not to run into anything. I bumped into a couple of things but used the force to sense out where Ezra went. Where was he?

I followed the trail until I was at a closet. He was in there so I quickly opened the door and locked it behind me. I could feel a light coming from a little away. "GET AWAY FROM ME!" Ezra yelled, "I'M A MONSTER!" "Ezra, you're not a monster," I reassured, "You did nothing wrong." "YES I DID!" He shouted with a full wave of guilt flooding the room, "If I hadn't trusted Maul, none of this would have happened."

"That's the past," I said, "And I've should have been there for you, not just at that temple but the past couple of years to and I'm sorry for that." I could feel the light dim until I couldn't feel it anymore. I used the walls to guide myself to the teenager. I found him in a fatal form in a corner. I sat down next to him and felt around for the holocron. Once I found it, I set it away from him and luckily, he didn't fight to get it back.

"Thanks Kanan," I heard him say and I slung my arm around his shoulders. "Anytime Ezra and if you need anything, me and Hera will help you." "Even set aside the rebellion?" He asked. "The crew, no family comes before anything," I said and felt Ezra lay his head on my shoulder. I could sense the guilt lift off his shoulders, it was still there and may always but he has us to get him through it.
