Kanan's P.O.V
Me, Hera and Chopper just left in the Phantom, leaving Sabine, Zeb, and Ezra in charge of the Ghost. "Are you sure you want to leave those three in charge of the Ghost?" I said surprised that Hera didn't claw out of the Phantom to get back into her precious ship. "Yes dear," she said, "They are perfectly capable of watching the ship for the day." Then I hear her mutter, "Or they are going to have fix it before I kill them." I held back my laughter as did Chopper.
"We're here," Hera said landing the ship. I stood up and the three of us exited the Phantom. We were sent to this planet to get supplies but who knows if it's a trap or not. "I found the crates," Hera said and I followed her towards the supplies. Something was off though and the feeling was getting worse as we were getting closer to the crates.
I placed a hand on Hera's shoulder and she stopped. Chopper stopped too and was probably asking we stopped when he beeped. "Kanan-sh!" I interrupted Hera to listen more closely. Then I heard a fate beeping coming from the crates and I paled. "Bomb," I said in a soft tone. "What?" Hera asked then I started to pull her away, "Bomb!" I yelled.
That got the three of the running off in the opposite direction before BOOM! The crates exploded knocking me and Hera off our feet and Chopper used his magnetic thing to hold him down. I got up slowly with pain throbbing on the side left side of my arm. "H-Hera," I called, "Chopper." I heard Chopper rolling and whopping up to me in distress.
I held out my arm for the droid to take and he led me to Hera. I knelt to the ground and Chopper guided my hand to Hera's arm. I got down on my knees and started to shake Hera, "Hera." I got no response from her and no movement. "She's knocked out," I said under my breath then said out loud, "Come on, Chop." I picked up Hera bridle style and Chopper followed me back to the Phantom.
I had to use the force to guide me safely back or else we might get unwanted guests if I get knocked out. Then I heard a roar of an engine in the sky, a tie-fighter to be exact. "Ah tarter sauce," I muttered but I kept walking and trusting the force to guide me safely from the aim of fire. I heard the shots of the tie-fighter being blasted and it seemed like every shot was getting closer as I went.
I finally had to use my lightsaber to block a shot the was heading for the back of my head. "Ugh, I hope the kids are having more fun than we are," I said. Chopper replied but I could barely understand him so I just ignored the grumpy old droid. I ran to the Phantom and laid Hera on the bench. "Chopper, get us out of here!" I ordered and the droid did as I asked.
"It's ok, Hera," I said sitting on the floor next to her unconscious body on the bench, "You're going to be fine." I heard a moan escape from the lips of the pilot herself, "Kanan?" "Yeah, Captain?" I teased. "Be a dear and stop being an idiot," she said and I chuckled. "Yes ma'am," I said and got a slap in the chest. "Thank you," I heard her say and I smiled. "No problem," I said laying a comforting hand on hers, "Anything for my Captain." "Love, what did I say the first time?" She asked.
"To be a dear," I said and earned another hit on the chest. "You know what I mean," she said and we both laughed this time. "Does anything hurt?" I asked almost forgetting. "Just my head," she said and tried to sit up. "I don't think that's a good idea," I said worried. "Your the one that let Chopper drive," Hera said. Chopper let out an offended sounds of annoyance. "You got a point," I said, "But who knows if you have a concession and if Chopper does anything wrong then we need a pilot who isn't about to pass out."
"Point proven love, point proven," Hera said laying back down. "Is there a med-kit on here?" I asked searching for the kit. "Under the control panel," she said. Chopper threw the med-kit at me and I barely caught it, "Sheesh Chop, not so hard." He beeped probably to tell me not to offend him again. I started to look for the emergency ice pack then I handed it to Hera to put on her head. "Thanks," she said great full for the pack and took it out of my hand.
So for the rest of the trip, me and Hera talked about all sorts of stuff. From the beginning to now of stories that we never had the chance to tell cause we were always so busy. Chopper said that we arrived at Chopper Base and I felt the Phantom land. I helped Hera out of the ship and to a medical droid in a med-bay. "Before I go," Hera said stopping me in my tracks and surprised me with a hug but I recovered and hugged her back.
"Thank you again," she said and let go of me before leaving to the med-bay. Chopper came up behind me and said something then laughed. "Chopper!" I said but sighed in annoyance and left to the Ghost. That was sure a long day, I hope the kids had a better time.
