As I walked into the maze, the large hedges closed behind me and I could no longer hear the boisterous music or the cheering crowd. Everything was silent.
I strapped my wand to my arm and turned into my lioness form as the maze was so dark, I could hardly see in front of me. I felt safer and stronger as I stalked forward on my four paws, ears perked up listening for any sounds.
I growled lowly as I continued my journey for what felt like hours. Nothing had happened to me. This seemed too easy and that made my nervousness palpable. It was then that I heard a loud scream. Fleur.
I lunged forward, running to where I thought the sound had come from, when bright red sparks flew up into the sky. I ran towards that area when suddenly I saw Viktor.
He looked at me with pale, glassed over eyes and my stomach dropped. I had seen those eyes before. He's under the Imperius curse. Fleur or Cedric wouldn't do that to him though, so who would?
He suddenly turned quickly and he locked his eyes on Harry, who stood there completely shocked as Viktor turned and walked away from us.
"Callie?" He asked, coming towards me.
I turned back into my original form and ran towards him, jumping into his arms. "Is it just me or is it like nothing is happening?" I asked, pulling away.
